I don't know if it was the suit that gave me this newfound vigor or if it was the relief that I felt from not having to feel the pain of the flames burning. Either way, the suite was the answer, it almost felt cool to the touch even when completely submerged in flames. I tested my abilities summoning different types of things made of fire. Solid objects were easy to summon but liquids were harder to bring about and gasses were nearly impossible. I eventually tried to summon living beings made by the fire, and saying that it was a difficult task was more than an understatement. It required every last bit of my focus and then some to summon even something as small as a mouse. I had to picture every part of what I was summoning and what it would be doing if I was not planning to move it myself. I had to think about the heart, blood, brain, and every organ in its body and force them to function and work all together continually as it took life. I got a single squeak out of the creature before it blew into a billion flickering pieces that vaporized and floated away like orange smoke. I realized that I would only gain better control over my powers by finding a way to better mesh them with my existence. The only way to do such a thing would be to gain more abilities complimentary to the one I have and still complimentary to me myself. I thought back to all the demons depicted in the Great Hall of the palace of the Elf Queen that showed a battle between angels of heaven and the entities of Hell. The thought of the Queen enraged me beyond belief, but I remained focused on thinking of the painting in the Great hall. I tried to remember all the demons and what they were best known for. I thought not of a Demon, but rather a fallen angel. Azazel the angel of War, is one of those who fell for their lust for human women. His strategic thinking and increased focus well as his agility must be a part of his power. I didn't expect that I could face him the way I was so I decided that while searching for him and a few other targeted demons and fallen angels I would gather a few extra powers. So I set off through the fiery pit in search of anything that might be useful. every once in a while I would come across some poor soul writhing in the flames screaming in torment but never found any demons until after what felt like days of wondering a blazing snake with wings flew down out of the blackness. I summoned a sword and waited for it to come closer. It slowed to a stop hovering about ten feet away hissing. I asked why so few demons were out. It replied, "Not that it will matter but you are heading away from the kingdom of Hell. The only demons you will find out this way are lesser demons like myself." I pointed out, " I see you have wings." The snake replied, " Of course I have wings. God cursed us snakes to crawl on our bellies and sends us straight to hell. In return for tempting God's great loves the humans we are immediately turned into demons and given wings by Satan himself." I gave a quick slice with my sword and made it grow longer as I swung. My blade severed the head of the flying menace and blazing energy flew into my jacket. my jacket then sprouted wings that burned like the sun. I could control them but that wasn't exactly what I was hoping for. I made a mental note to expose my chest after killing a Demon otherwise it may not be me who gains the power rather whoever wears the armor of demonic leather I made. I decided would put a deep V in the neck to better reveal my chest without having to take it off. After making the adjustments I wanted it was time to turn back around and head towards the kingdom of Hell and fight the demons that lay on my path. I flew back with the new wings I got from the snake, this certainly was better than walking through the flames with no idea where I was going. I was able to retract the wings into the jacket and deploy them at will, so I began to teach them different aerial maneuvers that may be useful in the future. I worked my way in the direction indicated by the snake watching for any potential battles that I may encounter. I eventually ran across a Demon crawling through the flames, it looked like a massive hairless dog that could probably fit me into its mouth. I flew down close to it so I could try to speak to it though it never did anything but bark and chase after me. I eventually decided to slay the beast and go along my way. I dove down with a blazing sword in hand and stabbed it in the top of its head, though nothing happened. My blade didn't even do so much as leave a mark on the head of the beast. I flew back and up out of the range of the giant dog. I then summoned a whip diving down snapping the whip around its neck and flying into the sky hoping to strangle the beast. it dangled and barked, kicking its legs and trying to paw at the whip as we floated in the darkness. We flew like this for a few hours but nothing changed. So I flew so high that I could barely see anything aside from the glow of the flames, not even the flickering or sparking of the flames was visible. Once I had reached a height that I didn't think anything could survive I dropped the beast and flew down to see the results. It landed with an explosive force throwing ash into the sky. I waited for a burst of blazing energy to fly to me but the giant dog came barreling out of the cloud of ash launching at an unbelievable speed. I flew up as fast as I could but the beast was too fast. It jumped and clamped its maw on the left wing of my jacket. I came plummeting down, I retracted my wings and deployed them again. The dog fell to the ground and launch another attempt to drag me out of the sky, but I was able to fly just high enough to barely escape. I summoned a spear and dove down jabbing the tip of the spear directly through the eye of the massive dog and continued to use my wings to force myself down. Its head slammed on the ground as the spear sank deep into its brain. After a couple of seconds of violent thrashing, it lay still as blazing energy flew out of it and into me. I could only guess that the beast's powers had something to do with its incredible speed and its apparent impenetrable stature. I summoned a knife and tried to cut my hand finding that the blade no matter how hard I pressed couldn't penetrate my skin. I then ran for what felt like a matter of seconds and turned to find that the dog was nowhere to be seen. I ran back in the same direction and noticed that the dog was still very much in its place, but I was able to move at speeds that were just completely unimaginable. I flew up a good distance from the ground and retracted my wings. not so far that it would kill me but far enough that it could still severely hurt me. I dropped hitting the ground like a ton of bricks, but I was completely fine with not even as much as a scratch.
