The weekend was over and they had to go back to school, a normal Monday and a normal school nothing out of the ordinary just same old same old.
Yaku groaned then said: "I hate Mondayssss"
Kai: "who doesn't"
Yaku then pointed to our rooster headed Lead: "That guy"
Kuro: "First of all don't call me 'That guy' cause it sounds like I'm one of those guys who live off Dr. Pepper "
Yaku: "Dr. Pepper? the soft drink"
Kuro: "yea those... "
Yaku: "I don't see a problem with those drinks though"
Kuro: ".. it's carbonated"
Yaku: "carbonated? never heard of it. "
Kuro: "The professor explained about it to the class last semester, you already forgot? "
Yaku: " yea I'll go with the forgotten excuse, anyway are you gonna explain or not"
Kuro: "Carbonation is the chemical reaction of carbon dioxide to give carbonates meaning it can rob calcium from bones and it can erode tooth enamel."
Yaku: "ah i feel like Google can't compare to what you just said"
*Yaku chuckles*
Kuro: "maybe if you hadn't so called 'forgotten' I wouldn't have to compete with Google"
Both of them laughing in the hallway not caring if people stared, They were enjoying themselves.
"I wish I could laugh so freely like that... "
"KENMAA-KUNNNNN" was suddenly heard echoing through the hallway, people turned there heads to see Shohei Fukunaga a fellow 1st year who happens to be Kenma's classmate
Shohei who seems to be making his dashing entrance into the hallway from the classroom was interrupted by the vice principal who was coincidentally taking his daily rounds around the school for inspection.
Kenma who was standing at other end of the hallway was watching his classmate being scolded by the vice principal.
While Shohei was bowing to the vice principal as an apology, Kenma couldn't help himself but giggle before trying to help his classmate get out of the situation he's currently in.
Kenma walks up to the both of them
Kenma: "Good morning sir... "
Vice principal: "ah Kozume Kenma right? "
Kenma: "yes sir that's me"
Vice principal: "It's nice to see a student greet his superiors so early in the morning"
Kenma thought "tsk Superiors he says, what a waste of time ranking each other like this"
even though kenma's thoughts were like that he knew he must keep his expression professional.
Kenma gave a tiny smile then glanced over to his classmate who was completely forgotten by the vice principal.
The vice principal noticed then asked: "Is he a friend of yours? "
Kenma: " Yes sir, he's my classmate. "
Vice principal: "well could you tell him off for me I still need to check the faculty for inspection. "
Kenma replied: "will do sir. "
Once the vice principal left the two of them alone Shohei chuckled out of relief.
Shohei: "ahhh I thought I was gonna be in big trouble, thanks for saving me back there kenma-kun"
Kenma: "who said I saved you? I was given the proper rights to scold you out loud now."
Shohei: "but you wouldn't... right? "
Kenma: "give me 5¥ and I'll give it some consideration"
Shohei: "5¥ isn't that too cheap? you can't buy anything out of the vending machine with that"
Kenma: "nah I'm just 5¥ yen short, from buying Dr. pepper"
Shohei: "if you say so, but u could give you atleast 100¥ so you could treat yourself to a snack"
Kenma: "no need use that money for a snack from the vending machine yourself you look so pale from being frightened be the VP"
Shohei:"if you insist "
Kenma: "I'll head to the classroom first I left my phone"
Shohei: " sure sure meet me at our spot then"
Both of them made their way to the places they needed to go
Kenma was searching for his phone which he was sure he placed under his desk
Kenma: "Where is it, I'm sure I left it here. "
While searching for his phone he heard a familiar voice.
Kenma: "sounds familiar.. "
Kenma thought it wouldn't hurt to take a peek of curiosity.
He saw somebody who was surely around 6 feet tall and had a nasty bed head
Kenma thought " hmm bed hair and annoying voice...?"
Kenma suddenly screamed"EHH ISN'T THIS THE CARBON GUY? "
Stares were everywhere
Kenma how finally realized that he accidentally said the out loud blushed to embarrassment and turned to the so called "carbon guy" who was also unsurprisingly staring at kenma.
Kenma couldn't think of anything else because of how embarrassed he felt so he could only do the next logical thing he could possible do with his current situation, he apologized as quickly as possible and sprinted his way to his friend Fukunaga who was waiting for kenma downstairs at their usual eating spot.
While sprinting Kenma was clearly cursing so much in his head meanwhile kuro who was still processing on what just happened said "Carbon guy??? "
Kuro glaced at yaku to see if he could get any answers.
All Yaku could do was shrug since he also didn't understand a single thing. it felt like it just flashed for a moment and disappeared.
Kuro points to himself and said "did get just called me carbon guy?? "
Yaku: "seems like it, Nice nickname you got there though"
Yaku: "you sound like those heroes who were named by 9 year olds-"
Kuro: "first of all never call me that second of all 9 year old are fully capable of naming heroes-"
Yaku: "pfft whatever you say 'captain carbon'"
Kuro: "that's hella worse"
Both of them laughed it off and went to gym for morning practice.
meanwhile
Kenma: "yea no I'm ascending goodbye Fukunaga-kun"
Shohei: "don't be dramatic kenma-kun you can ascend once you've told me why you wish to be apart of the wind cycle suddenly"
Kenma: "I don't want too it's to embarrassing to remember"
Shohei in a sarcastic tone said "well isn't that just lovely"
Kenma: ".. I'll tell you when I wake up"
Shohei: " hmm sleeping again? is ice skating going hard lately? "
Kenma: "I don't know what you mean, I'm just exhausted cause I stayed up late so I could upgrade my economy in Animal Crossing"
Shohei led out a sigh and said "go to sleep I'll wake you up later"
Kenma: "thankss"
"Sleep well you'll need it"
