There was a collective gasp then complete silence. Ryu's thunderous heart slowly calmed to the normal beat and his eyes welled with hot tears. He sunk to his knees beside the coffin and gazed inside with a shaky smile.
Within the coffin was empty space. Not a single thing could be found. Not even a speck of dust. Ryu's fear, in which he kept thinking he might be wrong finally disappeared and the tears of happiness and relief spilled down his cheeks.
Aito was alive!
Aito was truly alive!
Ryu's joy knew no bounds. He wanted to jump up and scream. In fact, in his head, he was already rejoicing. He turned to Tobio. "I told you he's alive. Aito is alive"
Tobio had his mouth agape, thoroughly shocked. Never did he think Ryu would be right. Not even once.
Kaito hugged Yasu and buried his face in the crook of Yasu's neck. He didn't know why but seeing such an emotional side of Ryu made him emotional too. He couldn't help but cry.
