Maru woke up, startled to find that it is already high noon.
Maru panicked, she knows for sure that everyone already left to find the professor. So she was beyond shocked to find Daisuke seated beneath a tree, facing the river, just a few steps away from her tent.
"Hey," was all he said. His silver hair glistened in the sunlight and his sapphire eyes reflected the color of the calm river beside him.
The perfection of the man took Maru's breath away.
He was wearing an all-black outfit. The cloth clings to his immaculate frame like a second skin, emphasizing each muscle underneath the cloth.
"Did you wait for me?", Maru asked, not bothering to hide her surprise at the thought.
The prince's eyes focused on her, ignoring the question completely.
When she went near him, he handed her the sandwich he was holding.
"Thank you." Maru sat beside the prince and took a bite.
