As she heard the doorbell she rushed downstairs with her bag pack. She did not hang it on her back instead she held it in her hands.
"Mom, who's there," Sophie asked while still on the staircase.
"It's Laura," Emily said.
Laura was not going to the same college as Sophie although she insisted to give Sophie a ride.
"Come in, " Emily said.
"Where is Sophie," Laura asked.
"I am here," Sophie said with a smile.
"I woke up early for you but..." Laura said with both hands on the waist.
"Sorry," Sophie said and hugged her.
Laura smelled like lavender, her hairs were as usual curled. She had natural blond hair color. She was wearing the same denim jeans as Sophie. They bought that it together. On top of that, she was wearing a regular shirt with a denim black jacket.
"You will going to miss the introduction," Laura said, with a little dissatisfaction.
Every university on the first day has an introduction meeting. There all the fresher's meet up with each other to make connections. Coordinators introduced them to all the professors. They toured the place to get familiar with the routes. Also, they get their stuff like books, time table, information about room partners, etc.
"It's okay," Sophie said. "When I will set my foot, the whole college will know me," Sophie showed a lot of confidence.
They were still hugging and stood in the kissing position. There was a little gap between their lips. After a warm hug, they walked towards the dining table. Sophie removed her jacket and then sat, before eating she ran her hand into her hairs. She picked some of the hairs from both sides and put them at the back of the ears. Laura with gentle sat she also ran her hands into her curled hairs.
"I made omelets," Emily announced.
"Laura have some,"
"It's ok, Emily,"
Only Laura was allowed to call Sophie's mother by her name. Actually, Laura was the only one who had ever gone to Sophie's house.
"Why, aren't you hungry?"
"I had breakfast,"
"Please take something," Emily insisted. "Juice,"
"Ok, I will take it,"
Sophie was busy with her omelet, murdering her food with the fork.
"Mom," Sophie said. "What are you wearing?"
Emily was wearing a long skirt and a simple shirt for the time being she was also wearing an apron.
"Did you not like it,"
"You are not coming to drop me,"
"I am not looking good," Emily asked Laura.
"You are looking fine," Laura answered.
Sophie signaled Emily through her eyes to change.
"Where is Dad?"
"He is loading your suitcase in his car,"
"But I am giving her a ride," Laura said, looking confused.
Sophie tried to hide her face with her hands.
"You forgot to tell them," Laura asked, looking furious. She rose from her seat and put both hands on the table.
"I thought you came to say bye," Emily said.
"I am sorry...…" Sophie said, joining both hands. "sorry..."
"If you are ready shall we go," Tom interrupted everyone?
"Hi, Laura," Tom addressed. "Are you here to see off her"
"Hi, Mr. Wharton," Laura answered. "I was supposed to give Sophie a ride to college..."
"It looked like she forgot," Laura opened her eyes as big as she could and pointed at Sophie with intense expressions. Sophie made her puppy face, tried to calm Laura.
Tom was sweating like hell, his light blue shirt was completed ruined. He was not wearing a vest because of that his perfect tits were revealing.
"Honey you should change your shirt," Emily said as soon as she spots his tits.
Tom cleaned his sweat from his forehead with one finger and splashed it on the floor.
"I'll go change," Tom said. "You can come with us," asked Laura.
Tom left.
"We can still have fun," Sophie said, in a low voice.
They all walked towards the car. It was an SUV of very bright red color. Emily had changed into different clothes. She changed into jeans and a simple t-shirt. Tom also changed his shirt. Though he wore the same color shirt but with white color strips on it. Also, he wore a vest beneath it. Laura and Sophie sat on the backseats. Sophie put his backpack at the back of the car where all her other stuff was. Emily for the last time checked the door locks. Tom started the engine.
"Give me the location," Tom asked.
Sophie bent towards the front she put her one hand on Tom's seat and with her right hand, she filled the location in the car GPS.
"Thirty minutes from here to Grerhold hill," GPS speaks in this computer tone.
"Why you took admission there," Tom said.
"It was the last one to offer me one," Sophie said, awfully.
"I was going to Laura's college but I did not get in,"
Laura chuckled.
"Where you got in," Tom asked Laura while looking in the rear mirror to see her.
"I got into...…." Laura hesitated.
"I got in the community college of Nashville,"
"Why you did not go here,"
"...because her mom lives there," Sophie answered on behalf of Laura.
Sophie relaxed her legs and put them onto the small cabinet near the gearbox. She opened the window it was a sunny day.
"..take a left after 250 meters," GPS directed again in its mechanical voice.
The school started to visible.
"It looks like an ancient castle," Tom said with both hands on the steering wheel was making the turn. His head was down, he was trying to take a complete look at the school.
"I hope they don't have ancient rules," Sophie said. "..or else I will be doomed."
"Did you get their invitation card," Laura asked?
"How did you know about that," Sophie said.
Sophie pulled out the invitation card from her bag and showed it to her.
"You told me out it," Laura said, looking down at the card.
"...really," Sophie said with doubt.
Sophie snatched it as soon as Laura was going to turned it.
"They could have mailed it," Sophie said. "Assholes,"
She lowered her voice as she noticed her parents heard it. She was half laying on the seat. As they started driving on the school road they felt altogether different energy. They smelled something soothing but could not able to name it. They drove on the road covered with trees on both sides.
"The smell is nice," Sophie whispered. Everyone nodded except Laura.
