In the classroom, there were about 50 seats. Zane made his way to the window seat in the third row.
"Hi, I'm Johnny Alden Rank 56. You can call me John." A blond boy sitting in front of Zane introduced himself.
"I'm Zane, Zane Felix."
"What's your rank?"
'Rank? Oh yeah, on the ID.' Zane then replied. "805"
John chuckled and turned to talk to someone else.
'What's his problem?' Zane thought to himself and took out his ID. He looked like the rank.

'805th out of 1000, that's below average. Maybe he's one of those arrogant characters? He is 56, which is in the top 100.'
As Zane was lost in his thoughts, a teacher walked in.
"Take your seats." The teacher said and all the recruits sat down.
"I'm Bryson Holt. You may call me Mr Holt or Sir Holt. I will be your homeroom teacher for the next three years." The teacher introduced himself.
"For today, I will explain some of the rules and give you a tour around the school." He then continued explaining.
The rules are your typical school rules like no smoking, no skipping classes, no littering, etc.
Some of the more extraordinary ones are rules regarding uses of skill, magic, weapons, etc.
After that, they toured the Academy. The academy had many facilities such as a gym, cafeteria, dorms, training grounds, swimming pool, etc.
Back in the classroom,
"Remember to fill in the form when you get back. That's all, you may leave." The teacher reminded them before ending the class. The teacher then left the classroom.
As soon as class ended, Zane left and headed towards the dorm.
Following his GPS, he arrived at a building - the dorms.
'This looks more like a hotel than a dorm.' He thought to himself.
If you didn't know, you would have thought that this was a 5-star hotel. There are lounges, an elevator, a cafeteria, a swimming pool, a sauna, etc.
Zane took the elevator and arrived on his floor, 52nd. His room is the fourth one from the elevator and On his door was his name, making it easy to distinguish.
As he opened the door, a living room plus kitchen came into view. In front of him is the living room, containing a couch and a coffee table. And after the living room is a sliding glass door leading to the balcony.
To his left are simple kitchen equipment with a fridge, stove, oven, microwave, and other simple utensils.
On his right is a wall with two doors. The first door leads to the bathroom while the second one leads to his room.
As he entered the room, he saw a queen-sized bed and a door to his left. They were separated by a closet. The door seems to lead to the bathroom. There is also a desk, a shelf and a window.
"There are clothes," Zane muttered as he opened the closet.
Those clothes seem to belong to the original owner of this body so Zane didn't find it too weird. After looking through the room, he went out.
Back in the living room, Zane saw a box on the coffee table.
"Was it here when I came in?" Finding it strange, he picked up the box.

Just then, a sharp pain hit his head. Memories of his encounter with the being are coming back.
'It must be from him.' He thought as he opened it.
Inside the box, there's a letter, transparent dice, a card and a pocket watch.
He picked up the letter and read it:

The important thing is the card, it's called a skill card. A rare item that gives you a skill. For that specific card, the skill you get is called Scanning. You'll know the details once you use it.
For the rest, you can just scan them.

"Is there a switch?" He flipped the card back and forward trying to find a 'switch'.
After a while I found nothing.
"How do I use this?" He then picked up the letter.

Seeing this, Zane was dumbfounded. Why didn't he write it on the same page? We would never know.
Zane took the card and ripped it in half.
As soon as the card was in half, it glowed and got sucked into Zane's body. Information started to enter his brain.
"What." Then he ran to a mirror. He looked at his reflection and said.
"Scan." as he said that, a blue transparent screen appeared before him.
