I was so confused about the situation earlier, Sashyank knew that there is nothing between me and Mitali but yet the sense of security was missing. At that time only I was the one who can balance everything, but right now my mind was unable to take everything in one go, so I wanted to give myself a little bit of time and thought, I called my mother next morning and told her that I'll be visiting home. I wanted some fresh vibes and Indian mom's are the best medicine for any problems to be so far, well I was missing Maa and her Rajma chawal (Indian food). I dropped a message to Shashyank and went to my mum's place. The weather was quite windy and it was chilling through my nerves, but Ranchi always makes the mood lift-up with it's weather change whenever it's become unbearable, well I was driving my car and let the cool bridge pass through touching my every inch of the body, at some point I wanted to forget everything, turning on the Radio and giving a break to my thoughts I came across to a fruit vendor who was selling wild berries. I don't know from when but I came to know Maa always have liked these berries, they are sweet and sour and have the tangerine smell. I picked them and went straight to home. I always loved being at Maa's place, after my graduation I moved out to the main city for job purposes, well finally, I was at my real home and feeling so blessed and fresh. I heard some female voices chit-chatting and laughing on certain things, I was sure it must be Anita aunty from neighborhood, she always come at Maa's place and talk about every single gossip from the society. I entered the hall area and got stunned, as I was not expecting it, Mitali was sitting right beside my mother and they were gossiping hand in hand, this was too much to take in for me.
Mitali - Hey, Ravish, I didn't know you would be coming here, otherwise we would have came together.
Maa- What are you doing there all frozen up like an ice, come here, you should have told me that Mitali has came to Ranchi.
You know Mitali, you should have came earlier, I like it talking to you about him, there is so much to talk to you about.
Mitali- Thankyou aunty, don't worry, I am in Ranchi, whenever you feel like gossiping just call me and I'll be here in no time.
Maa- Sure beta, well you two sit and talk, there is something I have to do.
Maa gave me a gaze with a smile and showed me a hand gesture of liking someone. Well I was feeling numb watching these two talking and making jokes. I was somehow furious to see Mitali, as she never came to meet my parents, when we were in a relationship I wanted to take her to meet my parents and take a step forward in a relationship but before that she left me and gone far for her other things. But right now I wanted to know what was going in her mind, why she was here.
"What are you doing here at my place? You should have told me that you are thinking of coming here." I said.
Mitali- Oh common, I really wanted to meet your parents, If I have known that you'll be coming here, I would have asked you to come with me, after-all you always wanted to meet me your parents.
"Are you insane, we are not in that kind of relationship at the first place, why would I take you to meet my parents, just make some excuses and leave, I don't want my Maa to know about us, it was all in the past, I don't want any misunderstanding to be spread here and there." I told her.
Mitali- I know, I just wanted to know your parents, yes we were a thing in a past, but we can recreate those past moments once again, I only came here for you, and you are pushing me off. Don't you think we still have that chemistry between us, I want to be your girlfriend once again Ravish, this time I am not going anywhere and always be by your side. I realize my mistake of leaving you, I really want everything at their own place.
"Hahhh.. everything at their own place, sure but your place is not here, not at my side atleast, and I don't have any feelings left for you, so please leave and let me breathe for a second. Whatever you have realized, thankyou for telling me, but now things are not like that, don't create any misunderstandings infront of my mother, she is not that person who can see your true intentions." I said furiously
Maa came down and told Mitali to have meal at our place, but I interrupted and said Maa that she's having some urgent work at main city and can't help it, so she have to rush there, and I stared at Mitali. She left with the fake smile but told me that she is not going to give up. I smirked on her face and showed my palms as the sign of leaving.
Never thought things will turn like this, but it's good that I handled it somehow for the time being, I gave Maa the berries I brought for her and she seemed happy.
Maa- Ravish, tell me, is she your girlfriend, she must be here to impress me, I liked her, she talks so elega...ly" I interrupted.
"Maa, there is nothing you think like, she was just a friend and came Ranchi recently for our project dealings, she'll leave soon, and I don't know how shew knew that I am coming here. So don't make any assumptions and let your thoughts free from her. Can you please enjoy your berries which your son have brought with so much love."
Maa- I thought that finally am going to be a mother-in-law, but I want you to get married and have babies soon so that I can feel at ease. And thankyou for the berries, I'll enjoy it.
She gave me a peck at my forehead and took the berries with her. I came here so that I can forget everything for some moment but Mitali's move really shook me off and now I was thinking of how to tackle things once again. I know this was not going to help me, and I have to talk to Mitali, so that she can't create any hindrance. But first I have to confess Shashyank a whole scenario and assure him, otherwise things will surely get misplaced. I called him in the evening, He was taking a shower, so he directly switched the call to the video mode, and once again I was hard down there, His face was shining bright even at the dim light of the bathroom, he loved to take shower in dim light, as it always makes his thoughts go wild.
" Are you imagining something, cause I can feel some strechness in your pant." Shashyank winked at me with saying those words.
" You know everything, are you going to come here and give me some night service." I replied
" Do you want me to come, you are really having wild thoughts." he said
" Hmm, I want to tell you something, Mitali came at my place today, I don't know....." I got interrupted
" Ohh right, today in the morning I was telling Dhruv that you'll be away for today, so she was passing by and heard my words and asked me if you were not well, so I told her that you are going to your mother's place." He said
"Ahh, you should have told me about this, I never took her to meet my parents, but I was shocked when I saw her, she said she want to recreate old moments and wants to get close with my family and me."
"what? I told you that she is upto something, I didn't know that she will go to your place. She must be having something in her mind." Shashyank said.
"Don't worry I will handle it, make clear to her, I'll leave tomorrow for work directly so don't wait for me at home. " I said
" Hmm, ok, have a good night sleep then, we will talk tomorrow."
I cut the call and came into my room, my thoughts were filled with Mitali, once again she was affecting me, every moments I spent with her were flowing infront of my eyes, the way we met, we came close, we loved eachother, my dreams of marrying her, her leaving me, our parting, everything once again giving me the sudden ache in my heart. But this time, I promised myself that am not going to make me look like a fool and get used up for her own selfish wish. I closed my eyes and let all the worrisome thoughts fade away.
