Paige ran through the dark forest. It was already pretty much dark and the tall trees that covered the whole forest didn't help much either.
Centuries-old trees with sprawling limbs guarded the darkness, and that made it even more difficult for her to look where she was going. The climber hung from one tree to the other like a web of spider. But despite all of this, she sprinted through the dense, dim, tall and endless trees of the dark forest.
The hanging lower branches of the small trees where barely visible in the dark. And while running, she looked up, and saw the patchy sky through the gap of the trees. And before she could rest and see where it going to be completely dark or not, she heard footsteps and she stilled again.
The only sound that was visible now was the whisper of leaves , creaking of tree trunks and crunched of dried leave and the footsteps approached closer and closer.
