After a few minutes of walking, Princess Mizhka and Julian arrive in the village of Lyndonville. The village is composed of small houses built with blocks and woods. It's completely different from the castle that Princess Mizhka has lived in, but for her this far more beautiful. She looks around with complete amazement. They pass by the market where Julian sold the boa for some gold coins. He receives it happily.
After selling the deer at the market, Julian and Princess Mizhka go straight to Julian's house. They arrive in a small house at the far end of the village. Julian knocks at the door. A short man, about 3 feet in height, opens the door.
"Julian, my brother! You're home," the short man exclaims. He then looks at Princess Mizhka. "And who is this beautiful young lady?"
"This is Mileena, she's a friend of mine," Julian replies. "She'll be staying here for a while."
"Oh, I see. We haven't had any visitor for a while now. It's nice to meet you Mileena. Name's Clint by the way," the short man welcomingly tells Princess Mizhka.
"It's a pleasure to meet you," Princess Mizhka says.
"Don't be too formal. Come in."
Julian and Princess Mizhka enter the house. She looks around. The place is too cramped with different materials that she isn't sure of what they are used for.
"I'm sorry for all the mess. If only I knew that Julian would be bringing his lover, I would have cleaned here first," Clint says.
Julian defensively says, "Hey! We are not lovers. We had just met in the forest while I was hunting. She asked for my help."
"That's true. We barely know each other," Princess Mizhka seconded.
However, it's quite obvious that Princess Mizhka is blushing, and so is Julian.
Their chatting is interrupted by the sudden banging of the door. The three looks at the doorplace and sees two person.
"Ooops! My apologies for pushing the door too much," says the bigger, stouter man. His size is like that of an adolescent bear, but his face is as meek as a kitten.
"Oh come on, big guy! We know how strong you are, you don't need to brag about it or something," says the androgynous-looking guy in a slightly squeaky voice.
The two notice Princess Mizhka.
"And who is this?" the androgynous guy mutters.
"Her name is Mileena," Clint switfly answers. "She is Julian's..."
Julian cuts him out and says, "Friend. Found her in the woods. She needs a place to stay in for a while that's why I brought her here."
The big guy approaches Princess Mizhka to introduce himself, "Hello! I am Quade."
"Nice meeting you, Quade," she answers. She looks at the androgynous guy. "How about you? May I know your name?"
"Aryen," the guy answers in a very unfriendly manner.
Julian says, "Don't be too dismay. She's not really the sweet type, but she is kind-hearted."
"She?" Princess Mizhka surprisingly asks.
"She's a female at birth, but a male at heart. She believes that she's a man trapped in a woman's body," Julian explains.
"Stop the prattles, I have cooked us some food already. I'll set the table and let's have some supper," Clint calls out.
They all prepared for supper. Clint readies the dining table, and after a while everyone is already seated and starts eating the not-so-visually appealing soup that Clint has prepared. Princess Mizhka seems to be disgusted by the look of the food.
"It may not seem presentable, but I assure you, it's safe, and tastes really good," Clint quips.
"Are you a princess or something?" Aryen irritatedly asks.
Princess Mizhka quickly replies, "No! Of course not. I am not a princess. I am just a maid."
"Then don't be picky with food," Aryen hits back.
"Be gentle with her Aryen," Quade calmly tells her. "Mileena, just try it. You'd surely love it."
Princess Mizhka has no other choice but try it out. After all she's kind of hungry already. She slowly scoops some soup in her spoon, and puts it in her mouth. To her surprise, it's the best-tasting food she ever tasted.
"Oh! It really is good. This is the most scrumptious meal I ever tasted in my entire life!" Princess Mizhka blurts out. Clint smiles upon hearing what she said.
While they are all enjoying the food, Princess Mizhka strikes a conversation.
"Are you siblings?" she asks.
Julian answers her query, "By bond, but not by blood."
"We were all orphans. We met in the woods, trying to survive on our own. We decided to stick together in order to survive," Julian continues.
"Lyndonville is the only village who accepted us," Clint speaks up. "This village may be one of the poorest, but it has good citizens. Everyone here has a heart of gold."
"Except Aryen, probably," Quade jokingly says.
"Hey! That's foul!" says Aryen angrily while giving him a punch in his arms.
Julian continues, "We became known as The Brothers Four."
Their conversation has been cut by a knock. The person who is knocking seems to be in distress.
"Brother's Four, I need your help. This is Baron Kristoff. It's those hooligans again!" says the man from the other side of the door.
"Not those again! Won't they ever learn?" Aryen exclaims.
The Four Brother stand up, much to Princess Mizhka's confusion.
"Where are you going?" she asks.
"We need to get rid of those pests," Julian replies.
The Four Brothers take their weapons from a closet. Julian takes his hunting bow & arrows and a hunting knife. Clint takes his sling & darts and some small bottles with unidentified liquids. Quade takes a giant hammer. Aryen takes a metal stick. Princess Mizhka then realizes that this is really something serious.
As they open the door, Baron Kristoff is waiting for them. He is an old goofy old man who seems to drunk.
"Yay! Let's go take them down," Baron Kristoff shouts. "Hik!"
They march forward. Princess Mizhka is left alone. She is confused whether she'd follow them or just stay. Until she realizes that she wants to see them in action. She runs off to follow them.
About twenty armed bandits are causing havoc, creating fear among the people. Their leader named Jago is leading the pack.
"Where are those who you call The Four Brothers? Show them to me or we will keep destroying all your houses!" Jago warns them.
All of a sudden, a loud expolosion shatters in from of the bandits. They look at the direction it has come from. The Brothers Four are already walking towards them.
"So, you probably are The Brothers Four who have beaten my men, huh?" Jago asks them.
"Uhm...yeah, I guess it was us," Julian calmly replies.
"You think you are so brave and strong, huh? I'll teach you a lesson you'll never forget!" Jago expresses angrily.
Jago signals his men to attack. The Brothers Four also make their moves. A clash ensues. Princess Mizhka is hiding somewhere and watches the fight.
Julian is about to make a shot with his bow, but suddenly gets tackled by Jago. He dropped his weapon. Jago starts attacking him with a short sword. Julian dodges all his attacks, and is able to disarm him with bare hands.
At another area, Quade and Aryen are fighting multiple men simulataneously with their hammer and metal stick. The bandits are no match with their tandem.
Meanwhile, Julian is facing Jago in a close combat. They are fist fighting. They are equal in terms strength and skills.
Clint, Quade, and Aryen have successfully knocked down the other cohorts. After their fights, they stand to watch Julian and Jago's fight.
Princess Mizhka approaches them and asks, "Why aren't you helping Julian?"
"Julian won't be happy if we'll help him. He is a prideful man," Clint says.
"Don't worry about him, he can do it on his own," Quade says.
The fist fight between Julian and Jago intensifies. None of them wants to be defeated by the other.
After a few minutes of non-stop fighting, both Julian and Jago become worn out. They stop fighting to catch their breaths.
"You are a worthy match, I haven't fought with anyone like you before," Jago exhaustedly mutters.
"So are you," Julian replies in the same exhausted manner.
"But the difference is, I'm way younger than you. Which means I have more time to be better," he continues.
Jago signals his men to retreat. When all his men are already convened, he tells The Brothers Four, "Today, we retreat. But this is not the last time we'll see each other. We are going to meet again."
"We'll wait for you," Julian counters him.
The bandits retreat. Everyone is thankful for The Brothers Four for saving them.
"Thank you! Brothers Four! For saving us once again," says the baron who has been hiding in some bin. After talking, Baron Kristoff falls on the floor out drunkenness.
Princess Mizhka looks at The Brothers Four in awe as everyone keeps on praising and thanking them.
