There was a slight silence in the tavern, James looked like he didn't know how to start with what he wanted to say, while Katherine just stared at him with her chest pounding, waiting for what the man had to say.
"That… Like I said before, I successfully passed the Royal Knights entrance exam," said James who finally found the courage to begin his speech.
Katherine nodded.
"Congratulations! I know you will succeed! I'm very proud of you!" said Katherine, smiling happily.
Over the past few months she'd been keeping James with practice and knew how serious James was about it, so Katherine was glad to see him succeed.
"Thank you," replied James, who nodded with a smile.
"But…" James then seemed to sigh, not ready to say this.
