"What's with your face?" asked Katherine casually, coming down from the second floor. She felt that Javier seemed annoyed with her. But she was pretty sure her irritation at Katherine wouldn't last long.
"What did you say? Do you still remember if you have a boyfriend who is always waiting to hear from you?" Javier asked a little curtly, still unable to hide his annoyance.
Katherine smiled, arriving in the living room she stroked Javier's cheek and said, "So you're mad that I haven't called you?"
Javier is confused. He softened at Katherine's unresponsiveness to his anger.
"I'm sorry, I've had a lot of work lately, Javier. But that doesn't mean I forget or ignore you," Katherine explained to what had happened so far.
Katherine had been annoyed before, after the incident at the hospital, where Javier had yelled at her.
