"Current suspected D- class has awoken." Said the guard in the same monotone and cold voice. The man in front of him is standing around 5' 7'' with a face as cold as ice. His hair slicked back, and his gray sideburns showed that age was catching up with the man.
" Bring him to the upper interrogation room. inform Miss Ammonite as well as give her the suspect currently known data that we have found." Said Chief
" Yes, sir"
.....
A bright flash of light blinds my vision for a few seconds until my eyes have adjusted. In front of me was a woman with blond hair who appeared to be around her mid-twenties. She had pale skin like she hadn't seen the sun in years.
Taking a look around, I saw a wide mirror taking up half of the wall. On it appeared a young woman and sitting across from her was a young man or woman. The person had an ambiguous appearance, with the only indication of their gender was their clothing. An orange and black jumpsuit that a TV show would show prisoners would wear.
' Something's wrong; why am I not in the mirror?' Nassim frowned. Nassim looked down to check himself, only to see the bright color orange and a pair of hands that look softer than a newborn's. A look of realization and panic appears on his face.
' That's my body. But I should look like this. My hands should be rough, and even though I did not work out too often, I have a great and, more importantly, masculine physique.'
' What's going on? Why? Why why why why.'
" Hello, sir, we would like to ask you some questions and hope that you can cooperate so we can end this quickly for both your sake and mine." said the young woman interrupting Nassim's thoughts.
" My name is Suri Ammonite, but you can call me Ms. Ammonite."
" Hello, Ms. Ammonite it was. My name is... " Nassim pauses before only his first name.
" Nassim, it's a pleasure to meet you."
" Care to tell me your full name." while her words were like she was asking a question, and her tone showed that she wasn't asking a question.
" I can only remember my first name at the moment." Nassim gulped while trying his best to lie since he knew that something was wrong with this situation.
Ms. Ammonite, hearing his answer, took out a notepad and wrote something before continuing her questioning.
" Do you know why you are here, Mr. Nassim," she said, staring at Nassim's amber eyes trying to look through him.
" No, the last thing I remember was going to the bar with my friends. I don't drink, so I was the designated driver that night. After we left the bar, I woke up here." Nassim told the woman everything he could remember since he knew telling her the information could help him in this situation.
" Can you tell me the current year and city of where you live," said Miss Ammonite quickly after I finished speaking.
"We should be in 2021, and I live in New York City." I quickly replied
Ms. Ammonite continued to ask me various questions while writing notes for every answer. The questions ranged from my age, medical history, and the names of my friends and family.
" That would be all the questions for today. In a bit, we will see if we have any questions for you." Ms. Ammonite said before shortly leaving the room as her heels clicked on the tile floors.
….
Behind the wall with the mirror was a small room enough to fit about five people. Behind the one-sided mirror stood Chief Hansen with his eternal stern face. As Chief Hansen looked through the one-sided mirror, Nassim sat staring at the mirror or accurately his reflection.
*Click*
The click of the door opening revered across the room, followed by the dull noise of heels hitting the floor as Nassim stared at his reflection. Turning around, Nassim saw the pale-faced Suri Ammonite walking towards him.
" Hello, Sir. I have finished interrogating the suspected D-class," Ammonite said
Chief Hansen nodded before saying, "Comparing the data and the information you collected, what is your analysis."
"Sir, from the three blood samples your men had collected, two of them were a perfect match. The blood on the ground and the blood splotches under his skin matched; however, blood acquired from his body only matches the level of a father and son. We took another sample before he woke up, and the splotches disappeared. Did the similarities reach the level of siblings?" She quickly replied with hints of respect in her voice.
She continued by saying, " After some analyzing, the blood comes from a young man named William Gilmore. Who disappeared last night after leaving work."
Chief Hansen nodded and gestured for her to continue.
" William Gilmore appears to have been killed from a wild D-class who is a target for termination at this moment. Before termination, the D-class confessed to killing Gilmore at the same location as Nassim." Ammonite proceeds to take out a folder with some papers placed on the table in the room.
"What do you think will be the most appropriate action to deal with mystery?" Chief Hansen responded after taking a glance at the folder.
" From the questioning, it appears that Nassim was born from the remains of William Gilmore or might be him reincarnated however with the loss of memory." Said Ammonite before being interrupted by Chief Hansen.
"But"
"But the problem with these theories is that they don't explain the odd memory that Nassim seems to have and fully believe. None of the places and people he mentioned exist as well as the odd name with unknown origins." She quickly replied.
" I propose that we give him some information about the situation and see how he reacts. Based on the reaction, we can confirm his threat level." Ammonite finished with some sweat appearing on her forehead while maintaining the same cold expression.
" Proposal accepted. You may proceed at once."
.....
The door to the interrogation room opened once more, revealing the beautiful figure who was Ms. Ammonite—dragging the attention of Nassim away from the mirror.
" Hello Mr. Nassim, we have decided to give you some information on your situation." she continued, " On the record, it shows your name as William Gilmore and that you have been in an accident when you were coming back home from work."
