"What if I decided to run away with him?" Beatrice asked. It was a question she needed an answer to determine if she could leave Clancy alone here, in her stead.
Clancy looked annoyed. "Now you are talking rubbish. Run away with the likes of that madman. B doesn't appear to be the husband type, Your Majesty. To me, at least. " She added, not wanting to sound too judgemental.
Though she loved Queen Beatrice like she was her own blood. She was still a servant and had to obey her. Her life was dedicated to the crown. She had watched Beatrice struggle in life, and now she was living it passionately. She was making some nice strides in her early reign.
The people loved her. She had sworn an oath to them at her Coronation. Did those words mean nothing? She knew her thoughts were harsh, and tried her best to shield them from Beatrice.
It was becoming much harder.
