Beleth reappeared in the locked tower. Everything was exactly as he had left it. The book still sat on the large desk, along with the handkerchief that held Beatrice's blood. Though he had been happy to see her and to finally have her in his arms again. It would seem they eft one another on a bad foot.
His suggestion was not taken lightly. Beatrice had been insulted. She had thought he only wanted the child and not her. The truth was he wanted her and the child. He had thought suggesting keeping the baby would make her feel secure in knowing it would be safe if she chose to stay on Earth and rule her kingdom.
He had been wrong. He had never had a mother. Lilith was the mother of demons, but she did not show love or compassion. Demons were to only feel hatred and be as cold-blooded as possible. He was raised that way, and he knew how lonely an upbringing that was.
