Chapter 3 - Unheard voices

The burning pain was still lingering through every part of his body. Even though it pained him, he still tried extinguishing the fire that he was engulfed with. But the blow from his mouth was not enough to make it stop. He still had his hands and legs chained up. Therefore, he had nothing left to think of that could make fire on his body cease.

'So, after I woke up I saw people in cloaks, am I right? Then that person stabbed me and is also trying to burn me?! It would've been better if they left me in the snow! God reverse time for me!'

It took a minute before Floyde's body was burned completely. The raging flames that covered him earlier decreased until the flames completely dispersed. Eventually, the flames had already reached his brain and heart—considering him as dead.

Suddenly, an angelic voice emerged out of nowhere.

"Oops, hehe... Sorry, kiddo for dragging you here out of brief notice and with no idea of what is going on...."

Then the voice changed its pitch and tone.

"The hell am I talking about! He's clearly dead. To think that he'd be able to hear from me. Anyways... I should help him out, it was my fault for bringing him here."

Suddenly, Floyde's body broke free from the chains he was in and he started hovering in the air, his back facing the floor. His grey dead eyes glowed a dark color. The surrounding wind grew strong that it rampantly caused all the chairs to break as it flew near the big door where the people in robes were heading.

The people in robes had no opportunity to react to the sudden shift of the wind that surrounded the hall. The people in black all fell on the floor, while the person in white only staggered from the wind. The candles that were lit up blew—leaving the room dark. But not that dark. The moonlight that shone through the window gave brightness to the hall, just enough for the people in cloaks to see.

Next, the hall filled itself with dense, murderous intent that all the people in cloaks could feel. Sweat came from their forehead by just the feeling itself. They still hadn't turned around to see what was going on, but by feeling the intent and seeing the drastic change of wind which caused the chairs to crash to the walls. They were totally not planning to see what was going on. It fully enveloped them in fear.

"M-Master Oglog, w-what was that?"

Trembling in fear while still not looking back. One person in the black cloak shakily spoke to the middle-aged man in white.

"Shhh!! Don't talk and don't move!"

As he tried to reply in a low voice, it still resounded around the hall while the sound of wind grew louder and stronger.

Floyde—who was still deceased—didn't know what was happening right now.

But then again, the Voice appeared out of nowhere. The people in cloaks didn't seem to mind it because they couldn't hear anything but simply the strong wind.

The Voice seemed to transmit its voice to Floyde so he could only hear it, it would mean that the people in front of Floyde couldn't hear anything unless that 'Voice' would also transmit its voice to them.

"Wews... Never would have I thought controlling people was so hard. I was so good at controlling paper maché puppets," the Voice strugglingly said.

Floyde's body went rampant in the air, swinging in every direction. Sometimes, his body would fall on the ground from high in the air and go back crashing up in the ceiling.

"What if I possess his body for a while?" The voice pondered. The Voice was having a hard time controlling Floyde's body.

"Nah, his body couldn't handle me anyway. And if I did that, his body would just blow up in bits..."

"But what if he could manage it... 0.000001% are the possibilities it would work, and if such a thing happened such luck, this kid would have?"

"I'm bored anyway. Let's take the risk," the Voice playfully muttered and chuckled.

Suddenly Floyde's body movement changed. He was still floating in the air, but not anymore was his back facing the floor, but he was now floating properly like a superhero who came readily to serve justice.

"Wow! It really worked. HAHAHAHAH!"

'This kid's luck is so good. I accidentally saved him from dying from frostbite. And now I'm saving his butt after saving him. Good for him his body didn't blow up to bits.'

Little did the voice know while he was still in his thoughts—about possessing Floyde's body. Something instantly covered the hall. It was a massive, powerful aura. It emerged from Floyde's body. The area fluctuated for a second, and a ripple could be seen from his body while his hair was waving in the air.

Floyde was releasing a thick black aura. And if one were to look at him, they would see an incredibly strong and visible dark aura around his body spreading to the entire hall.

The people in cloaks felt the powerful aura that started behind them that added more fear in their hearts, causing more sweat to trickle down their brows. If feeling the aura already caused their hearts to fear, what would happen if they were to see the source of it directly? Then, heavy pressure instantly covered the entire hall. This made it difficult for the people in black to stand and breathe and as for the person in white. His legs failed to keep him standing, making him kneel on the ground from the heavy pressure.

The burnt body of Floyde abruptly healed at a quick rate. His injuries were all recovered, his body was not covered anymore with blood. His black silk hair grew back. His skin looked like a baby's skin. His face had become more attractive, but not that super attractive. His body had more muscles, especially abs, he now had a toned body. And if one were to look at him, they would think he is an experienced fighter. But his eyes were still grey, one can say he's blind. But actually, he's dead.

The voice now had full control over Floyde's new body. Floyde then descended from the air, which caused the ground to tremble from its pressure. Floyde then walked to the people in cloaks as the adding pressure made them lay flat on the ground. The person in white was just kneeling. All of them were still facing the door fearfully, unable to look back.

'That massive amount of mana and power released is comparable to a high official... What if-'

The person in white thought to himself if the person behind him was really the Demon Lord they reincarnated, and thinking they finally have succeeded.

Suddenly, the body of Floyde stopped walking to them. The pressure decreased that allowed them to finally breathe properly, but they were still forced to stay on the ground because of the pressure that Floyde's body was emitting. The voice immediately left the body for some reason, causing the body to just standstill.

Another exasperated voice can be heard in the background of the voice earlier.

"Hey! What the hell are you doing near the crystal?!"

"Ummm... Ahhh.... N-nothing. I-i'm just standing here. You got a problem with that?"

"Yes, I got a problem with that! This place off-limits and is only allowed for Conflagrators."

"B-but I'm a C-conflag-gor. Don't you recognize me?!"

"... Stop shitting with me! You can't even pronounce it right. And I don't recognize your face as one of them."

After the talk of two voices subsided, the voices then disappeared. Not to be heard again.
