"General Renaud Alofi?" Steven Rafe slowly rose from his seat with confusion written all over his face. "Did he come here with the Empress's order?"
"I'm not sure, Your Majesty, but he wants to meet you," Renier responded.
This was quite different from how the Empress did things and Steven Rafe can't help but felt uneasy.
Was there a problem again?
He gave a quick thought and wondered if this had anything to do with the Avarian Princess's visit from last time. Then he turned to Sewel Alines. "Hide first. This man is one of the few Generals who serve the Empress closely. It won't be good if he sees you."
Sewel Alines nodded and quickly did as he was told. Then the Creles King turned his attention back to Renier. "Let him in."
With that, Renier bowed and walked out of the King's chamber. In a few minutes, he returned with General Renaud.
As Steven Rafe had no idea of why Renaud Alofi came, he didn't know how to behave.
