After having breakfast with Lillian, Nicklaus was in his chamber with the Princess. As he will soon be leaving for the camp, he wanted to have a brief chat with her.
"It's almost time for your father's departure," the Commander said to his wife. "Are you sure that you won't regret?"
The Princess remained silent for a few seconds and said, "I'm not ready to face him."
Nicklaus Elan stared at her for a while and nodded. "Fine then. I have to go to the camp today but I already assigned servants to serve you in your chamber. You can rely on them even if I'm not here."
There was no response from the Princess but at least, she didn't object to it.
"I also assigned a personal guard for you," Nicklaus cautiously added. "He will also serve as your attendant. He is someone whom I know very well and he is reliable too."
"Is this your way of keeping me in check?" she asked him in an almost annoyed voice but he shook his head.
