The rescue operation started. Ropes were releases, and passengers start to descend down with the help of the rescuers. Ryuu descended with Sora first, followed by Elijah. Xyleria who was still coaxing Liam that it will be fine started putting on the harness. Liam was scared and gripped tightly onto Xyleria did not want to let go.
"William, you go first. I go with Liam after you". William was a bit sad that his son did not want to go with him, gave his son a smile and kissed his forehead, and said "You guys go first, I am the man in the family you and Liam's safety is my priority." Xyleria felt weird when William said it, she shook it off and it is most likely he won't go down before us. "Alright, make sure you are holding onto the railing."
"Liam, look at me. It will be alright, see your father is so brave even in danger you are his priority. Aren't you a brave boy like your father?" said Xyleria. Liam was silent and looked at Xyleria who is his mom. "Ready?" asked Xyleria. Liam nodded his head and closed his eyes, leaving it all up to mom. Xyleria quickly attached the hook, all they left is to descend. They were at the edge of the carriage.
"Liam do you like rides?" asked Xyleria. Liam opened his eyes slowly looking at Xyleria and said "Yes". Xyleria then smiled and said "Me too! Though this was unexpected, let's take it as a ride at the amusement park. Look around at the great scenery, the wind is also not so gentle. Do you know that this will be my first ride at the amusement park? So as the most experienced person here, shouldn't you explain to me where the rides are?". Liam nodded and looked at his dad and said, "Dad, I will be brave like you."
"Let's go then!" Xyleria slowly descended while Liam was explaining to her about the rides, food, and the experience. Not long, Xyleria and Liam's feet were on the ground and the earthquakes stopped. William who is currently still in the carriage started putting on the harness that the rescuer gave him.
The carriage suddenly shook a lot, William and the rescuer lost balanced and fell. The rescuer's harness was still attached to the safety rope flew out of the carriage, hanging in the air. Xyleria looked up when she hears the Ferris wheel carriage was creaking and the metal connection area was breaking. She saw the rescuer being flung out but without William. Liam who was watching shouted for his dad. "Liam, it's going to be fine. Have faith in your mom. Your mom is going to save your father, stay with Sora and his dad. I will be back in a moment."
Liam nodded and went to Sora and his dad. Liam knew his mom was not normal and was willing to believe in that small percentage that his mom might be special. Xyleria looks up again and realizes that the situation was turning for the worst.
The helicopter cannot get close, and the rescuer was knocked unconscious. Xyleria teleported to the carriage where William was at. William saw Xyleria wondering why was she in the carriage when she already went down. Thinking that he died, he teared up.
Not again, no matter how many times I go through, it's still the same result. William thought stopped when Xyleria asked, "Are you ok?, Then I need you to hold my hand". William stopped his tears and realize that he is still alive.
He held on to Xyleria's hands and the next moment they were on the ground floor. His son, Liam ran over to him crying. Elijah went up to Xyleria who teleported back to the ground floor said "I was wondering where you went, don't tell me you used your powers again." Xyleria then poke Elijah's sides and asked "So did you find out who did it?".
Elijah then took out his phone and sent the report to Xyleria email. "The earthquake was indeed unexpected, except for the fact the door that fell off. The maintenance record did show that the door was changed 2 days ago, I suspect that someone else might play a part in this. This incident will be reported to Team D for further investigation. The amusement park will be cordoned off until investigations and maintenance are checked.
After the incident, everyone was dismissed. Xyleria who was in the car with the rest received an alert from KI that someone tried to break into her house. But was taken down by the security system that was inbuilt into the house. And team X members that were nearby, came over took the intruder away. Luckily no one was home, Grandfather Einhart was playing mahjong at a further neighborhood with Butler Kei and the staff had half-day off today. "Elijah are you going home too?" asked Xyleria.
Elijah who was driving them said "No. I am going to the agency after playing with you guys." Xyleria asked Elijah to go to the agency first. Elijah got off the car and bid farewell to Xyleria and the rest. Xyleria took over the driver's seat and drove them to a different location.
They arrived outside a huge hotel that screams wealth. Ryuu and William were clueless why Xyleria brought them here. They followed Xyleria to a different elevator that guests normally used. The elevator soon reached the 89th floor, Xyleria scanned her card, thumbprint, and took a deep breath before scanning her iris.
"Welcome back! KI the 2nd here to assist you." Said KI the 2nd.
