Se-Hun's hands were very cold. Meihui was afraid. She got rid of his hands slowly.
"Shall I call your mom?" She was frightened to the death.
Suddenly, Se-Hun started the car as nothing happened. Meihui was still looking at Se-Hun. She couldn't believe how he acts so normal right now.
"Are you okay? I can drive the car if you tell me the location. You can take a rest." Meihui asked. Suddenly, heavy rain started.
"Didn't you wonder about your job? Why didn't you ask the reason for hiring someone to accompany me while driving?" Se-Hun talked without looking at Meihui. She was thinking about that too.
"I… I wanted to ask. Why can't you drive alone?"
"Who do you think I am?" He asked another question instead of answering her.
"What a weird person he is?" Meihui thought.
"I lost my dad in a car accident when I was 5. That's why I can't be in a car alone." Se-Hun said. Meihui felt sad about him for the first time.
"Oh… Now I got it."
"No, you don't. But what you got is enough to do the job." Se-Hun said another weird thing. Just the time Meihui tried to say something, her stomach growled. She remembered that she didn't take her breakfast.
"Ah… What a shame…." She thought.
Se-Hun stopped the car near a restaurant. It was raining heavily.
"What do you want to eat?" He looked at Meihui, accepting an answer. Meihui found it difficult to look at his eyes directly because of shame.
"Sorry for that. I can eat after I drop you. It's still raining."
"I have an umbrella. Would you tell me what you want or eat whatever I bring?"
"Noodles and cola"
"We don't have time to stop. I'll bring them, and you can eat here." Se-Hun went to the restaurant before she said anything.
Meihui looked at the mirror in front of her. She fixed her hair. She saw someone sitting in the back seat. Meihui looked back in a flash. There was no one. She looked at the mirror. A boy with a black suit was looking at her. She looked back again. No one was there. Meihui was frightened and ran out of the car immediately.
She forgot about the rain as she was shocked. Meihui was totally wet within a few seconds. She started to cry. Someone came to her with an umbrella. She looked up to see who was holding the umbrella for her. It was Se-Hun. Meihui started to cry loudly.
"What in the world happened to you?" Se-Hun couldn't understand anything. She was crying like a baby.
"Are you afraid of thunder?" Se-Hun asked because he couldn't imagine anything else.
"There was a ghost in the car," Meihui said while crying.
"A ghost?"
"I saw a man in a black suit when I looked in the mirror. He was sitting in the back seat. When I looked back, there was no one. But I saw him in the mirror twice." Se-Hun was amazed to hear that because he also had the same experience several times. But no one except Se-Hun could see that man.
With a heavy wind, the umbrella flew away. Se-Hun saw the man in a black suit behind Meihui. That was the first time he saw this man without a mirror. The man was wearing a mask. Se-Hun couldn't believe his eyes. He immediately closed his eyes and hugged Meihui tightly. She couldn't even move.
"I… I can't breathe. Are you going to kill me?" Meihui asked while trying to move out from Se-Hun. He released her and looked around. That man has gone. Se-Hun held Meihui and ran into the car. Both were wet and shivering. Se-Hun checked the back seat and looked at Meihui.
"Look, there's no one..."
"But… When I look at the mirror, there was..."
"Look at the mirror now. Can you still see him?" Meihui was afraid to look in the mirror again.
"I can't look at it again."
"It's okay. I just want to clear you that there's nothing called ghosts. Look at the mirror and tell me if you can see him again." Meihui wiped her tears and kept looking at Se-Hun with big eyes.
"Just try to see. There's nothing to be afraid of. I'm here with you." He held Meihuis's hand.
"Look at the mirror. I'm here. Don't worry." Meihui looked at his hand and slowly looked at the mirror. The black suit man has gone. She blinked few times and looked at the mirror again. There was no one.
"I… I can't see him now." Meihui said. Se-Hun felt relieved.
"I think you see strange things because you are hungry." Se-Hun smiled and said. He took off his hand from Meihui and started to drive fast.
"Let's go to my office. You can change your dress at my place. I mean, we have a dressing section." Se-Hun started the car and drew fast. Meihui was still shocked and shivering because of the cold. Se-Hun looked at her. She was thinking something.
"There is nothing like a ghost. You should be afraid of living people the most." Se-Hun said again.
Meihui looked at the mirror again. The black suit man was sitting behind again. She shouted loudly. Se-Hun stopped the car and looked at her.
"He's still there. I… I don't need this job. I want to go home. Please." She cried. Se-Hun looked at the mirror. He saw the same thing. The man was sitting behind them. Se-Hun didn't show any difference to Meihui. He acted as he can't see him. Se-Hun held Meihui's hand again. She was crying.
"There's no one in the back seat Meihui," Se-Hun said in a kind tone. She looked at the mirror again. The man has gone. Meihui looked at Se-Hun's hand and immediately took off her hand from him. The man appeared in the mirror again. She closed her eyes tightly. Se-Hun noticed the difference.
"You can't see him when I hold your hand, is it?" Se-Hun asked. He held Meihui's hand again. She looked at the mirror. Man has gone.
"What's the meaning of that? Am I going crazy? Am I dreaming?" Meihui pinched herself.
"You are not dreaming. Just hold my hand. Let's go and change our clothes first. You will feel better after eating something."
Se-Hun held Meihui's hand and drew the car. He looked in the mirror several times, and the man in the black suit was gone.
They came to Se-Hun's workplace. The rain has stopped. Se-Hun held Meihui's hand until they came to the office. He got down from the car and opened the door for her.
"Come with me." Se-Hun led the way. Meihui followed after him. The staff members were amazed to see Se-Hun and Meihui because they were wet and Meihui was crying.
"Eun-Ji, this is Meihui. Please arrange a casual dress for her. We got wet on the way." Se-Hun introduced Meihui to Eun-Ji. She was a beautician in the company.
"Sure, sir. What about you?" She asked from Se-Hun.
"I have some extra clothes. I can manage. Please bring her to my office after the change."
"Ok, sir." Se-Hun thanked her with a friendly smile and looked at Meihui.
"This is Eun-Ji. She will help you to change your clothes. Come to me after you are done. Okay?" Se-Hun asked Meihui. She moved her head to say yes.
"Come with me." Eun-Ji led the way. Meihui followed her.
Eun-Ji gave her a nice dress to wear. It was a yellow frock. Meihui changed into the new dress quickly.
"Let me dry your hair. It was raining heavily." Eun-Ji dried her hair and combed it.
"Thank you." Meihui thanked her.
"Do you want me to put a little makeup on you?" Eun-Ji asked.
"No, thank you. This is more than enough."
"But I can't let you go this way. Let's do simple makeup. Look at your eyes. Did you cry?" Eun-Ji asked while applying powder on Meihui's face.
"No. It's because of the rain." Meihui replied. Eun-Ji put cute makeup on Meihui.
"We are almost done. Look at you. You look cute. Come, I'll show you from the mirror." Eun-Ji said. Meihui was afraid of looking at a mirror.
"Thank you, Eun-Ji. Can you give me a bag to wrap my wet clothes?" Meihui changed the topic.
"I will handle it. Don't worry. Are you a friend of Se-Hun?" Eun-Ji was curious.
"I'm the new driving assistant," Meihui replied.
"Then we can meet regularly. Come with me; I'll take you to his office." Eun-Ji held Meihui's hand.
Eun-Ji came to Se-Hun's office with Meihui. Se-Hun was drying his hair.
"Thank you, Eun-Ji. She's my new driving assistant." Se-Hun told Eun-Ji.
"She told me, sir," Eun-Ji replied.
"Come and sit, Meihui. Eun-Ji, you can leave." Eun-Ji smiled and left. Meihui sat in the chair in front of Se-Hun and looked around.
"I have something to tell you about the man you saw in the mirror." Se-Hun started the conversation in a serious mood.
