PRESENT TIME. Lewis opened his eyes ever so slowly. What welcomed him was not what he would usually wake up to.
It was not Devon's side profile while staring at the ceiling. Instead, she's still fast asleep. A subtle smile resurfaced on his face.
Lewis glanced at the clock on the bedside table. It was a quarter before six in the morning. He over slept.
Slowly, he dragged himself up to sit. Lewis would automatically wake up once the clock hits four in the morning. Sometimes, he'd wake up at five if his body truly required sleep.
'What a weird dream.' He muttered, stretching his neck sideways. Actually, he knew it wasn't just a weird dream.
It was a memory of his first encounter with Devon. After that morning they parted ways, Lewis found it hard to sleep once again.
For a person who would try all methods to sleep, he sought Devon from Marl. His proposal to her didn't last long, since Devon agreed almost immediately.
