They did not have time to panic. every second was precious. Tian and the others hurried around arming themselves to the boot.
The chickens and the other pets were not idle either. The children burrowed around creating man-sized horizontal holes in the ground and Coco went around filling the holes with dried grass from nearby.
"Remove the tree from the car. Let it take root… feed it some seeds," Yue ordered Fan.
His husband did as he was ordered, pulling the huge mutated free from the top of their car. This was their ultimate shield. The powerless people and children can be protected by the tree... as far as the others.
