Chapter 56 - World Adventurer Leon

Hasab Island. A six town island in Alba. The biggest island in the whole country and home to the prime minister of Alba. With such a big title, it wasn't rare for bandits to flood the town, so it came to no surprise for anyone when a large batch of bandits came out of a jewelry store, dragging bags of loot.

People moved back to avoid any collision with the criminals. The head of the bandits stopped as a man with spiky black hair and green eyes stood in front of them, arms crossed.

"I'll have to ask you to return those items and come with me," he said.

The people smiled and cheered, some with tears in their eyes.

"It's Master Leon."

"He'll save us."

"Master Leon!"

"Second King of Alba!"

The head bandit frowned at the name. "The World Adventurer Leon?"

The cheers had Leon laughing, his black jacket flapping over his white shirt with an ascot of the same color. "You're all cute." He turned to the pirates. "You stupid pirates think you can steal under my roof."

The pirates didn't appreciate his taunts, spitting fire at the adventurer.

"Don't get cocky, you can't fight all of us."

"You're just a government dog."

They tried to attack him, but he clapped his arms and a two huge stone piles slapped them. He dragged his fingers down, making the slabs go into the ground. He held his finger up, tilting his head to the side.

"I'm not on the same level as you filthy bandits, know your place."

The people clapped and cheered.

"As expected of a world adventurer."

"Thank you Master Leon."

He bowed and walked away, waving at the people with his title of World Adventurer on his back.

...

Aline slammed her foot on the table, shocking the crew members. "Which one of you raided the pantry, fess up."

Everyone looked away, hiding the wrappers of the food they stole in their pockets or under their seats.

"I know nothing," Paolo said.

"Food is for the weak," Shinzo said.

"Why would I steal when I'm so cute you'd give me food anyways," Octavius said.

"I don't eat," Luna said.

"Really, what's all that on your face?" she asked.

They all moved their hands to their face and in an instant Aline wiped them out with kicks. "I knew you all stole it."

"We were hungry," Paolo lamented. "You reduced our portions."

"That's because a certain idiot is stingy with food money," Aline snapped. "So we have to manage what we have till we get to Hasab."

"Stingy."

Aline glared down at them. "What did you say?"

"We're sorry."

.....

"Hero?" Shinzo questioned.

Aziz nodded, patting Cairo's fleece. "Even from the castle I would hear stories of his heroism in the capital. He is the reason the Alba Pirates haven't been able to touch the capital. The people are highly indebted to him and even revere him as the second king."

Aline sighed. "These people don't know what they're in for."

"The easiest way we can handle the situation is to get the Prime Minister on our side," Aziz said. "If we get to him, we can stop the attack."

"Hasab Island will be in sight thirty minutes top," Luna announced, climbing on deck. She placed a map on the table. "This is the map of Hasab Island. Every town is divided by a desert. The biggest desert is between Ruksha and Gilam. The prime minister is in Gilam, meaning we have pass through the desert. Hasab Island is divided into two, Ruksha is in the second half. We can use a ship to get to Ruksha and then cross the desert to Gilam."

They all groaned.

"It'll be as hot as that time when we got here," Paolo mumbled.

"It might be even worse," Luna said. "So I suggest we stop at Alton, a town in the first half and get things that will equip us for the desert. We then cross the desert from Ruksha to Gilam. This trip takes a day each. So we'll be able to make it to the prime minister in time."

"Land ahoy!" Shinzo shouted from the observation tower.

Luna grinned. "Octavius, let's get this baby to port."

Octavius ran to do what his was told, the crew members standing up to see the incoming island.

"This will be our toughest exam yet," Paolo said. "So whatever happens from now on be sure to do what you can and keep moving forward." he grinned. "Let's go on an adventure."

The crew grinned back alongside the royals. "Roger that."
