When Roxus woke up the next day, Haoling, Tsundue, Adnan, and Soneillon were kneeling at the end of her room. In their midst, a woman bound by blackthorn knelt in fear. Her head was covered in a black cloth bag. The woman seemed to be shaking.
Roxus rubbed her eyes gently and yawned.
Hearing the movement on the bed, Haoling lowered his head deeply and walked over. "Madam, breakfast is ready," he said.
"Thank you. But… I want to take a quick shower," said Roxus.
Hearing that, Haoling turned to Adnan, and Adnan walked out of the room to ask the maids to help Roxus. The maids are not vampires to reduce the risk. But they are not human either. They were half dark elves gathered by Soneillon to be employed as servants of Roxus.
