Dropping a speck of mana from his body into the ocean, Heisch furrowed his brows. In an instant, he could feel every drop of water all over the earth and every particle of mana clinging to it. He sighed in disappointment.
Roxanne was back, making him feel that maybe luck was finally on his side. With his now recovered body in Roxanne's arms, he hurried off to try his luck again.
"You still haven't found him?" asked Soneillon, who was standing behind him.
On the wide secluded beach, there were only the two of them. Heisch smiled faintly. "Does not matter. Now Roxanne is back. My body has returned to normal, and after a thousand years of you tackling the grim reaper from taking my life, you can almost definitely stop them for another thousand years," said Heisch.
Soneillon chuckled at that.
Almost a thousand years. Now the two of them have almost become a pair of brothers.
