He was sad
Huxley Ruiz
It was a good day, it had a good start, a nice weather but Huxley never cosidered anything as good he always had a neutral feeling towards everything or instead just angry at everything or everyone.
It was evening already and Huxley and his friends decided to hit the bar. To their dismay, they were at the third bar which was all closed. After they went to the first two already closed bar they tried their luck one more time but as always no luck.
"I give up" Zach said from the driver's seat making the others agree. Zach Hernandez. A brown haired, blue eyed and pretty faced boy. He was the player type also a kind hearted one.
Then- Zane Hernandez. The twin brother of Zach. They weren't identical, only had the same brown hair they got from their lovely mother but Zane had green eyes. He was pretty much like his brother but a lot calmer and also a pretty face.
Also- Dario Miller. A blonde haired, chocolate brown eyed and also a pretty faced boy with a lot of mama's love. He had boyish features but wasn't a player. He was the nicest amongst the boys.
Moving on- Wesler Carter. Also blonde haired but with warm hazel eyes but a much calmer demeanor and a playful behavior, being friendly with everyone.
Then there's Huxley. Huxley Ruiz. He had a jet black shaggy hair that curled just below his chin with almost lifeless stormy grey eyes also a pretty faced boy. They all had pretty faces and were different from others but he was much more different. He had a strong demeanor such that where ever he went everything about him screamed 'danger' but the slutty girls never seemed to stop approaching him which he hated but he liked the way he was always stared at like he was some God. He was not a player neither did he believe in love, he never had a close relationship with anyone except the boys. Even the boys never knew anything about him just the little he lets on. He was like a tightly closed door with thousands of chains that can take years to unlock. It was hard to get him to say at least ten words to anyone and he doesn't let anyone in and even though that fact the boys still stayed with him.
"It was your fault anyways" Zane said to his brother, frown lines on his forehead as he spoke.
"How, please explain" Zach shot back equally annoyed they couldn't get to see pretty girls dancing. It was funny though, they always fought on little things like children.
Zane didn't reply, just glared at the side of Zach's head from the back seat. Zach reversed out of the bar's lot and pulled up at Hux's. It was their meeting spot because Huxley's parents were never home even if they were Huxley didn't care. He had a father and a step mother with a step sister. He of course hated the woman to the core because she took his mother's position in thr house.
Why should i care about them? He always asked himself whenever they were not home.
They got inside the house and went for the game room, except Dario- who was always their cook since no one was willing to do it. The other took up their favorite spot in the room, it had all sorts of indoor games.
Minutes later, Dario walked in with a big plate of cookies and a different plate of choclate cookies with extra sugar for Huxley. Yes, he had such a sweet tooth that no one knew about. His friends wondered why he was always taking those but he always gave the same answer- a shrug but most of all, he was a chocoholic.
Dario went back and came in with a set of drinks with at least ten percent alcohol so as not to get too wasted and also a chocolate drink also for Hux. His friends knew why he doesn't drink but also wondered why he chose chocolate drinks. Dario shook his head and smiled when he saw that Huxley already munching the cookies in his usual spot, a leather seat at the coner of the room. He then took his hot chocolate drink to him. They all loved each other secretly. One would wonder how Dario managed to put all these together in such few minutes- he was good at it- cooking.
The other boys helped themselves and went back to their games. The twins at the video games spot, Wes and Dario at the snooker table and Huxley sitting on the expensive leather seat in the corner staring at his phone trying to figure out the puzzle he was dealing with.
His family was extremely rich to which he didn't care about as far as he got all he needed, sometimes he got up to pack up and leave the house but a thought alsways stopped him,
Where will i go and who will take care of Mia?
Mia was his step sister, a sixteen year old who had blonde long hair like their father and was also beautiful and he loved her. Of course they would take care of her but he couldn't take the risk, he loved her too much to.
The night passed with the boys talking and then trying different games and Hux just sitting and staring at his phone.
"It's late guys" Wes said to the others "You'll be okay?" He asked Hux as the others piled out of the room leaving Huxley with a goodnight to which he replied to with a 'night' and a short nod to Wes' question.
Once he heard their cars moving out of his driveway, he switched off the lights of the room and locked it then switched off every other lights before checking on his sister to which she was already asleep peacfully. He walked into her room looking around, she had her room painted in blue and white with family pictures everywhere, she was the type to hope and wait around for change but he had already lost all hope or did he have any?.
He gave her a kiss on her forehead before flicking off the light and heading towards his own room.
He unlocked his room and let out a breath probably relieved that he was back within the walls of his room. It was his favorite place to be in. It had all the things he needed. It was like a second heaven for him, where he didn't have to see the look of disgust or pity people always had whenever they met him. He hated everyone.
He got in flicking the lights on and locking the door behind him. He had his room painted in grey, every part of it. Unlike his sister, he had no pictures, just one of his sister when she turned ten smiling widely at the camera. He had a king sized bed in the middle of the room with white and grey sheets matching the gray of the walls, and ten pillows, nine white, one gray.
The wall at which the bed was resting, was painted in darker shades of gray with light shades of gray as stripes.
(Just the bed side)
There were black lamp posts at each side of the bed with glass drawers, and he had a soft light gray rug at which the bed layed on and spreading out to the four corners of the room and ground to the top glass doors at the right wall that led to the balcony fillng exactly half the wall with gray curtains. The other half was graced with a couch and a short table which had only his car keys.
There was a white door that was slightly opened which led to the luxurious bathroom and a walk in closet.
He took a shower then got into just a pair of sweat pants then got on the bed throwing tue sheets of along with some pillow left with just two, the gray one, his favorite. He let sleep pull him towards its warmth.

The sun and the moon were already below the horizon leaving luminous dots in the cloudless portion of the night sky.
"Stars..." The five years old boy looked up, staring at the stars in utmost awe with his mother hugging him to her side telling him about the protection that always came from those things.
"They will always watch you all night like guardian angels, they will always protect you".
"Really?" He peered up at his mother with his big blue-gray eyes waiting for her answer. She nodded taming his long hair that had gone wild in the wind.
There was a sound that came from outside the room. His father. But the little boy hadn't noticed since he was already settling into his mother's side ready to let the sleep cover him like a blanket. His mother knew what it was, but smiled at her son instead and took him to bed and tucked him in before pressing a kiss to his forehead and switching off the lights.
Trying to get out of bed, the little fell to the ground on his butt and cried out a little since the bed was too high. He went out of his room to his mother's to tuck himself under her arm like he always did but she wasn't there, then he went in search of her.
"Mummy?" He called out hoping she would come out and put him to bed again but he got no response. Walking further into the house, he called out again but the silence replied once again.
He heard the shatter of glass and followed the sound down the stairs and stopped mid-way as he stared at his mother at the foot of the stairs.
"Mummy, why are you sleeping here?" He walked the rest if the way down and shook his mother receiving no response and only the flow of a liquid, not dwelling much on his mother, he moved to the kitchen where the sound was from. There stood his worst nightmare leaning against the kitchen counter.
"What's wrong with mummy?" He managed to squeeze out the words pushing down the fear rising in his throat. The tall man turned to face him with a smirk etched to his face.
"She gone" he said with a sly grin.
"Where?" Tears prickled at the corner of his eyes daring him.
"Where she belongs, away, away from this world"
The tears were down now running along his cheeks and two words rang in his head 'she lied' she had told him she was never going to leave him.
"But why?"
"I-"
"No"! He shot up from the bed sweating and heaving heavily.
"A nightmare" he said out loud wiping his forehead with his palm and going for the bathroom and settling inside the tub with already steaming hot water to relax his tensed muscles. The memories came sliding across each other furiously but he saw each clearly which made him grip the sides of the tub eyes closed.
After deciding that nothing was working, he prepared for a early morning jog in a black sweat pants and a gray hoodie.
He jogged down the streets, sweat already coating his forehead as he had a target but also with a realization.
The nightmares are back.
