It was evening time, Prince Walter lay on his bed with his eyes closed, he wasn't sleeping but having a deep thought. He was thinking of home as he had longed so much of the day he will finally be home. He tried to recall what home was like, his childhood memories gradually comig back to him. He could remember how he played around and all the things he and his little brother used to do with their parents before they were separated then tears came dropping down his cheek..
" I wouldn't do that if I were you" a voice sounded beside him and he jumped up from his bed making sure to use his right hand to wipe off the tears from his face. Looking up to his side Master Egon was sitted by his side on a small wooden chair with his legs crossed.
"Master I didn't know you were here" Prince Walter said with surprise.
" Walter I know this has never been easy for you, you were just 6 when you came under my care. I have trained and watched you grow into a brave, intelligent and strong young man who is ready for the tasks ahead. it's time we began something special that I have prepared to add to your training of which I Know you won't fail me" master Egon continued.
Prince Walter didn't say any words he just sat on his bed and listened while master Egon spoke.
"Prepare yourself Walter, tomorrow is our training free day so I will take you to a place in the morning, meet me at the water side" he said as he stood up to leave..
The water side is a small garden built by a small river side where they go to meditate and rest and also when they want to have a soul to soul talk.
"Yes master " he replied
He wondered what Master Egon had planned for him and where it was they were going to tomorrow, but he had no choice than to do as he was told.
Immediately master Egon left his room he reached out for his small back pack and stuffed in some of the little things he might be needing especially his ring made of Lapis Lazuli stones and his small water can so he will not forget it by morning incase they had to rush out.
Lapis Lazuli stones is used by vampires for protection under the sun. It is either carried as a stone with them as they move about in daylight or used to make a ring which they wear often.
The next morning Master Egon was already there waiting for him when he arrived.
"Master am here" he said
"Sit down for a while he said" showing him where to sit right opposite him.
"Master Egon looked at him directly in the eyes and asked " Walter are you ready for this?" leaving him more confused as he had no clue of what was about to happen
" I am master" Walter replied
"I will be taking you around in some kingdoms, you have stayed in this cave for the past 14 years, you are not and have never been a prisoner, it's time for you to start moving around like a free man you are. My main aim for this is so you will start getting used to mixing and moving around where many people are and not loosing your guard. So put all you have learnt all these years into very good use.
"Yes Master" he replied in excitement.
They set out to a particular kingdom. Prince Walter didn't know it was Tolaria his own kingdom they were heading to.
He had left his place 14years ago when he was only a kid so he had no idea where it was.
Master Egon didn't tell him where they were yet, he was going to tell him later.
They had sneaked into the kingdom in the evening time so no one knew they were new or who they were.
They entered into a drinking house in the market square, Master Egon asked him to go look around after taking a little drink and resting for a while.
Prince Walter walked and looked around the area. With his super hearing ability as a vampire,He could hear some funny noise like some people arguing in a corner from a distance, he quietly walked towards the noise and hide by wall, he could see 4 young boys trying to steal from a girl.
There was no way he was going to let that happen, he immediately stepped out of his hidding place, telling them to let the girl go or face his anger, they were busy mocking and laughing at him asking him how he intends to defeat them , in a matter of seconds he had knocked down two of them and was in-between the girl and the boy holding her down, leaving them in shock. They were filled with fear as they have never seen a man with such swift movement that they all ran away leaving the girls belongings behind.
He picked up her money bag and some fruits she was carrying and then went to where the girl was and lifted her up saying to her.
" Do not be afraid they won't harm you anymore"
"Thank you" she said softly taking his hand as he helped her stand.
Their eyes met and they looked at each other for some seconds before Prince Walter introduced himself saying "my name is Walter" and she replied saying "I am Mila, thanks for helping me out really , those boys would have taken my money away and I would have gone home empty. Boys like them terrorise people a lot these days"
" You are welcome, it's really nothing" he said with a little smile.
" Which way are you heading towards so Incan see you off incase they come back?" Prince Walter asked
" I just closed our fruit store and heading home before they came for me" she explained telling him where their fruit store was in the market square and which way she was going, Prince Walter walked her home half way and turned back when he was sure she was safe and won't be attacked anymore.
