The stars were twinkling under the gloaming night when the whole city went off from their busy and tiring day. Only the street lights were lit up with no one to be seen at this late night. I was sitting on the rooftop, alone, enjoying my own company and admiring the dark atmosphere above me. The silence was the only aspect around me, and the cool breeze, that had embraced me with its gust refreshed my mind. After all, I was tired to death by my work and my 'Life'

I took a deep sigh as I tried to hold back my tears, I didn't want to cry at this moment. I wanted to smile. I wanted to feel happy. I wanted to laugh like how others do. I wanted to feel the satisfaction and dignity of my Life, I never wanted to survive I wanted to live my life!

In the darkness, it's getting hard to stand strong. At some moment in life, I want to lean on someone. Even if I have many friends, colleagues, around me, I still have no one to support me, no one to make me feel loved, no one who makes me feel special!

I was snapped out from my thought and emotions and looked at my phone to check what time it was, and it was late night 2 am. And I remembered that tomorrow is not a weekend but a working day. And I have to get up at 6 in the morning and I don't have to be late to work.

I went into my house and headed to my room and slouched on my bed. I took my phone and set my alarm, switched off the lights and dozed off to sleep...

But before I could sleep I got disturbed by a call on my phone, I was annoyed by it and ignored it... but I was curious that who might have called me at this late hour?

I took my phone and answered the call... I didn't speak and waited for the other person to speak first.

I waited for few seconds and spoke...

"Hello?" And I heard a man's voice in reply asking me,

"Hello, am I speaking to Carol Vesper ?" The man replied.

"Yes I am ... and who are you? Why did you call me at this late hour?? Didn't you see the time??" I was annoyed at that guy.

"Umm, it is to inform you that you have to show up in the morning by 7 am at the particular location that I will be texting you shortly," he said and left me confused.

"Wait! What-? Why do I have to meet you tomorrow and who are you??" I was surprised.

"You will come to know only if you show up!" he spoke up and hanged the call before I could ask him anything else ahead!

I was dumbfounded at this act. And while I was recollecting what happened and assuming things I got a notification.

It was the same number, I opened the chats and checked what he sent me, it was the address! I guess it's where he asked me to arrive at early 7! Like why??

I placed my phone beside me and tried to sleep thinking it's someone who was pulling a prank call on me!

I pulled my blanket up to my chest and cuddled my favourite teddy and went back to sleep. Yeah, even my age is 26 I still have teddys.
