Mo Chou came to a halt when she reached her next class. Then she felt really dumb for running away. She was supposed to be a top level assassin and was usually a very calm and level headed person but she was flustered by a mere compliment.
She blamed it on Lu Jinhai's pretty face and the fact that she hadn't ever had such 'interactions' with anyone before.
She had simply been too busy for these 'stuff'.
She took a few deep breaths and calmed herself. When she finally cleared her head, she realised that she had left Lu Jinhai behind.
Mo Chou started worrying about how Lu Jinhai would find his way to the classroom.
When she went back there was nobody so she decided to return to the classes.
But when she reached the classroom , she saw that Lu Jinhai was sitting lazily in the seat beside hers, smirking.
She huffed angrily as she had been worrying about him for no reason and sat down. For the rest of the class she ignored him.
Lu Jinhai was amused seeing Mo Chou ignore him.He enjoyed seeing her angry face and wanted to tease her more. He wasn't lying when he said he couldn't take his eyes off her.
After the class ended, Mo Chou packed her stuff as fast as she could and took off without once glancing at Lu Jinhai.
Lu Jinhai didn't try stopping her and just watched from the side with an amused expression.
His behaviour frustrated Mo Chou.
When Mo Chou returned home, she got to know that Liu Dai was on a business trip and would not be coming back home for a whole week. She decided to use the opportunity to accept some missions.
Mo Chou browsed through the missions on the assassin organisation forum.
After browsing for a while, she finally found a mission that interested her. It was to kill a corrupt politician who was responsible for a recent bombing incident.
The bomb had killed hundreds of children. It also had a huge reward since the politician was a big fish and had lots of influence.
The timeline was also perfect since he was attending a ball today. The ball was for bigshots and the assassin organisation also had an invite.
Mo Chou accepted the mission gleefully, thinking that she could take out all of her frustrations on him. She started prepping for the mission.
The theme of the ball was masquerade. It was a ball for mostly underground powers hence why Liu Dai was not present.It was perfect as the mask would be Mo Chou's disguise.
Mo Chou wore a beautiful dress which was one of the few dresses she had kept. The dress also perfectly hid the gun strap and knives underneath it.
Mo Chou had also asked for a limo from the organisation. After she got ready, she sneaked out. The limo was parked two blocks away from the mansion.
Mo Chou had already worn her mask so that the chauffeur wouldn't see her face. The invitation card was inside the limo.
Mo Chou reached the limo and climbed inside it.
After the limo started moving, Mo Chou did some last minute prepping. The limo finally arrived at the place where the ball was being held after thirty minutes.
Mo Chou exited the limo with the help of the chauffeur. She made her way towards the entrance and presented her invite. When she entered the ball, it was glamorous. The ball was truly for the elites.
Everybody was busy socialising so she didn't garner many looks. Mo Chou was relatively unnoticed and was feeling confident about the mission but what she didn't know was that there was a pair of eyes which had been focused on her from the moment she arrived and it was none other than Lu Jinhai.
Lu Jinhai had also naturally been invited. He was feeling utterly bored and was thinking of leaving when Mo Chou showed up.
He immediately recognized her and was wondering what she was up to now. His thoughts of leaving had been completely erased and now he just wanted to enjoy the show.
She wouldn't be able to recognize him anyway since he was also wearing a mask and also had contact lenses on.
When Lu Jinhai saw other men in the ball staring at Mo Chou, he had the sudden urge to kill everyone in the room but he held himself back. He felt puzzled about his own feelings.
Huo Zhai saw Lu Jinhai staring at someone in a daze. Huo Zhai was Lu Jinhai's right hand man.
He looked over and wanted to see what Lu Jinhai was looking at but didn't manage to find out as Lu Jinhai blocked his view.
Since his boss didn't want him to know, Huo Zhai just ignored it.

Meanwhile Mo Chou felt a constant feeling that someone was staring at her but she dismissed it as there were lots of people at the ball who could be staring at her.
She didn't feel any malicious aura either.
Just as she was about to go looking for the politician , a sleazy man approached her.
She could see his beady eyes through his mask scanning her up and down. She felt utterly disgusted by his gaze.
"Hello there beauty! Why are you here alone?" said the man "Would you like to play with us?"
Mo Chou sneered and was about to tell the man off when she saw the direction he pointed to.
To her luck the politician was right there with a group of other men.
Mo Chou agreed to the man's suggestion and walked towards the table with him. The man was delighted.

Lu Jinhai was carefully observing Mo Chou when he saw a man approaching her . He almost went over to kill the man when he saw his leery gaze.
He also watched as Mo Chou went over to a table full of men with the man.
Huo Zhai silently watched as his boss clenched his fist so hard that his fingernails drew blood.
When he looked over he just saw a table of people. He wondered what got his boss so riled up. It didn't seem to be anything good.
