Max's POV
It had been for about a month since the incident with Laura and others and after that, I promised them that I will not hide anything from them, at any cost. All this time, Laura had been trying her level best to study and understand everything, she could, about supernatural creatures. She had been reading books and asking me questions to clarify her doubts, making me feel like a teacher.
Laura's training was also going better than I expected as she had absorbed everything like a sponge. Her flight, telepathy, mind reading, everything was near to perfect now but there was still one thing that we did not touch at all. It was laser shooting and I was hesitant to try that as it was a power which should not be handled carelessly.
Laura had been bringing up the topic again and again but I had been avoiding it until finally, Laura confronted me about it, during training.
