Another beautiful sunrise is leaking through my curtains and glaring at my eyes.
I wake up and move myself to the curtains, sliding it to feel its warmth, which motivates me to start the new day effectively. For my breakfast, I have eaten whole wheat sandwiches that are filled with tuna flakes. My auntie recommends this because it's rich in protein to work on my muscles since I'm pretty skinny, so I saved another two later for my snack and lunch. After eating breakfast, taking a bath, wearing my uniform, checking my stuff just in case I forgot something, I still have 10 minutes of my time before Jaime arrives. So I decided to update my ongoing novel by basically writing down a new chapter on my laptop, even if I wrote down just a few words.
Jaime knocks on the door," Kaiden... Are you still sleeping?!" Jaime said.
It's 6 am already. I immediately close my laptop and decide to bring it to school. If I ever have free time, then I'll continue writing to finish the chapter. I'm pushing myself to the door and open, "Here I am, Jaime." I said, smiling.
"Hurry, We gotta go!" Jaime holds my wrist firmly and starts walking faster outside of the dormitory. Their actions remind me of what we talked about yesterday about the famous student will finally be there in the university.
We ride with an uber driver and start bringing up small conversations before dropping off at our destination. "Wow, are you getting excited, aren't you?" I slowly asked, smiling.
"Yes, Kaiden, but I'm also quite stressed right now!" Jaime said, with disappointment on their face.
I didn't know what happened, so I ask another, "Why?"
"Because at this rate of time, student fans are already there and start gathering to form a crowd," Jaime said.
"and? Isn't that the normal thing they usually do?" I said.
"If I was early, then I was supposed to be on the front, where I get to see Zion closer!" Jaime said, showing random hand gestures to express how badly Jaime need it. "Do you know what I mean, Kaiden?" Jaime asked, looking at me with a severe face.
"Yes, and I'm sorry because I took my last 10 minutes to write my novel." I blamed myself, and sadness comes along.
Then Jaime takes both of my hands and starts patting them. Jaime sighs and looks at me, "Oh no, Kaiden. I'm sorry that I just realized that I overreacted."Jaime has forgiven me.
We ended up hugging and smiling genuinely at each other, trying to get ourselves together again. We have arrived at the university and landed ourselves off from the uber. After that, we can already sense the loud noise, screaming, which Jaime and I can assume that it's from the fans of Zion who have caused those.
We hold for a moment, "Pfft, how about let's take a look? And I won't cause any trouble like getting myself closer to him." Jaime told me, swearing with their right hand raised then smiles.
As I can see that there is no problem, I nod immediately, smiling.
We start to walk in the crowds' direction but on the school sidewalk, fifty meters away from the group where we can avoid barging ourselves in, and there are only a few students and teachers around. We are amazed while we're looking at the massive crowd.
Jaime holds themselves and starts jumping few times from where we stopped, "Oh! I can't even see Zion from here." Jaime scratched their head, feeling irritated.
"You're right." I face myself in up direction, looking for a few seconds at the elegant blue skies and close my eyes after, to feel its wind rushing by, "There will always be a next time, Jaime, you just think that there's no such thing such as tomorrow." I open my eyes and start to look at Jaime from the last I saw them. I'm surprised that Jaime is already gone and begin to wonder in awe if Jaime is listening or not from what I just said.
I continue to search Jaime until I finally see Jaime already barging themselves in from the massive crowd in the middle of the primary school building. "You funny liar." I laughed to myself. "Jaime sure wants his attention. Go! Take! A! Photo!" I shouted, cheering Jaime with extensive support.
After that, I shockingly didn't expect to raise Zion's whole head after shouting, which it makes now visible to see him from here. He moves and starts searching for someone, and I can't guess because he already has two security guards. I shouldn't have let go of Jaime because I can see him already from here.
Zion spotted me and stares at me directly with his eyes stays firmly, with his fierce neutral expression, smirking after he found me. I begin to confuse myself and start to look on my sideways if there is someone else, but shockingly, I am the only one here from my standing point.
"Is it me that you are looking for?" I pointed at myself with my right index finger.
He stops doing a tip-toe. I can read his mouth to make a way to move freely, but still, the crowd didn't listen to him, so he insisted on doing it with force from his guards and starts to walk towards me.
"What do you want from me?" I spoke to myself, panicking, and decide to look out for Jaime and leave immediately.
"Excuse me, please move aside," Zion said, which those words I just overheard. "I can't see. Please excuse me." He keeps talking and walking to this spot where I stand here alone.
"Oh Jaime, let's just see each other at the cafe or lunch," I told myself. Then I quickly run off to my classroom before he arrives here from my last spot on the sidewalk. Finally, the annoying sound from the massive crowd starts ebbing until I have come to the school and have gone inside peacefully. I sit on my seat and start shaking my head to refresh myself, for I can typically focus on the class.
About Zion, I hope that what he saw was just a hallucination and pretend I didn't see him. I overthink a little bit while taking down notes. (What's your big deal with me? )
