We were walking towards the dormitory. The luminosity of the sun shone upon us as the dusk light starts sinking. Our quiet steps soothe the atmosphere, making it calm and tranquil. Suddenly, an alloy pillar clangs when Rahim beats it with his hand. Emitting a ringing noise in our heads.
Smack!
I hit Rahim's head with a book. "Stop it, idiot."
Rahim Holding his hand above his head, groaning in pain. "I'm just making the environment more funnier."
I held my book back, stored it inside my backpack. "Well, you should've not do that."
"I have a story!" Farina cut in into our quarreling.
While Farina was talking, we continued walking. I gazed at the football park on the other side of the school. It was flattened with artificial grasses. It doesn't need to be watered and is very cost-effective. The greenish scenery reminds me of old football fields around the world. The artificial grass was more subtle to players if they fell. While I was indulged in the calming scenery, a voice called out to me from behind.
"CHARLE! DENGAR TAK? DO YOU HEAR ME?" Farina shouted.
I flinched because of her shout. I imagined flying by the force of the thu'um. The force of a Dragonborn which can shatter heaven and earth. But once again, I was way lost in daydreaming. I looked at her.
"What?" I asked.
"Do you remember that time when Rahim kicked a cat?"
I looked at Rahim. His face was awkwardly watching me. The fact that he was trying to hide his guiltiness was obvious. I turned my head towards Farina while thinking of a way to answer it.
"Yeah, I do remember it," I answered while smiling. "He was running from someone, right? But I don't know who he is..."
"Do you want to know who?" she smugged at me. "He was running fro-"
"YAMERO!" Rahim shouted at Farina, begging for her mercy.
Farina and I watched his response. We couldn't process what just happened. After a while, we laughed like nuts. With ill intent, we smirked at him, then we continued to walk. Rahim was holding his anger behind us. He marches towards us to catch up. His face was determined to make sure I don't know who was it.
We stopped as we arrived at the dormitory's entrance. It took 5 minutes to walk from the school gate to the dormitory gate. The silver gate was accompanied by artistic enrichment. I approached the gate and opened the lock. Rahim pulled the gate aside until it was completely open. It revealed the main path of the dormitory.
"My lady. Please proceed," Rahim and I held hand downward, showing 'royalty' to her.
Without a word, she walks inside arrogantly. She then stopped. "Okay, see you later. Remember to gather in the hall tonight. Rahim," -she points her finger towards Rahim- "don't forget."
I looked at Rahim. He held his hand behind his back and nodded. After that, Farina turned herself towards the girl's dormitory. Her footsteps fade as she goes away. Leaving both of us to finish what we had to do.
"Well, it's your job, isn't it?" I spoke, breaking the silence.
"I guess your job are just a supervisor after all." he responded.
Rahim walked towards a guard post stationed near the dormitory. He went inside to meet the guard. Upon meeting the guard, he talked something to him. After some chatter, the guard gave a microphone to him. Influential people are more likely to be heard in the first place. Rahim held the microphone in his hand and announced.
"This is Rahim," his voice echoes throughout the dormitory area. "Your beloved Seito Kaichou... Ehem, student council president. I have something to announced," he stopped to take a breath. "Tonight, the principal told me to gather all of you in the school hall exactly at 9 p.m." He stopped again to take another breath. I can feel his anxiousness.
"Well, we're still new in the student council after all," I thought to myself.
Forgot to tell. Rahim became a member of the student council too. The president at the very least. He got it after getting good grades and trust from students. It always seems like Rahim was just following what I did. We were birds of a feather. We both liked nature and foods made out of natural ingredients... Irony. We liked being a dependable person, just like how we managed to solve 'that' case together.
"There's another announcement but this one is just for the boys. The females can feel free to listen. Anyway, I need all za boyz to gather in the entertainment room. Okay, that's all," he gave the microphone back to the guard.
Rahim approached me. Then, he put his hand on my shoulder and grinned. I just smirked. We walked together to the boy's dormitory.
"What are you gonna talk about?" I asked.
"You'll know it later."
