We entered the garden through an escalator. Blinding lights shone into our eyes. The garden was filled with lights, cherishing our arrival. We walk towards the garden's gate. A white gate engraved with welcoming words. I left my backpack on a shelf placed next to the gate. I opened the gate and stepped on the soil. As I gaze at the beautiful panorama, water sprinkles suddenly activated and watered the plants. I was lucky the waters didn't wet me up. The dampness of the air can be felt as the sprinklers stopped. Mini rainbows can be seen floating in the air. Peoples' interest in traditional farming made the garden open to visitors every once a month. The so-called Eden deserves its name.
On the soiled floor, vegetables and fruits were planted as a way to encourage students in traditional farming. Most of them were labeled with a wooden stick to show what kind of plants were planted there. The vegetables and fruits were planted as a way to teach students to plant vegetables the old way. The happiness that the students felt while planting vegetables and fruits is something that no one can forget. Every day becomes a new memory for us. The principal, staff, and students put a lot of effort into making this dream a reality.
I look at the flowers, lined up with various species. The flowers were brought in and planted by teachers and staff. There were dark, bright, sharp, googly, and all types of flowers one could imagine. A flower took my interest. I walk towards it. The flower was an orange flower with blue stripes. I stare at the flower, quiet and calm. It really is a paradise for someone who likes nature. I look at Farina. Her eye sparkles with joy. Adoring the garden.
"Where's Rahim?" I asked Farina.
She shrugs. " I don't know."
"OI RAHIM! WHERE ARE YOU ?!" I shouted.
No response.
Suddenly, the sprinkler turned on as an ear of wheat passed right in front of my eye. I quickly turned my head, examining the vegetable and fruit garden. I walk towards the fruit garden with Farina beside me. As I arrived, nothing out of ordinary shows up. Then, I plucked two apples from an apple tree next to a grape plot. I gave one to Farina. I ate the rest of the apple and left the stalk. After that, I threw the apple stalk towards the GMO wheat.
"OUCH!" a voice can be heard in between the wheat.
"Come out at once." I ordered.
Rahim went out of the wheat with a smirk. His feet filled with mud.
"How are you gonna clean that up?"
"You think?" he took a water bottle from the wheat and splashes it on his feet, cleaning the mud. "How did you know?" Rahim asked.
"The muds were moving. Did you tried to trick me?" I walked towards Rahim.
"Bold of you to assume I trick you with such way," Rahim stood away from me.
Suddenly, the sprinkler that was supposed to be on the ground poured water onto me. My shirt was drenched in water. I look at the apple tree. A sprinkler was moved and tied using wheat on an apple tree. The sprinkler timed settings were altered by Rahim. I tried to chase him but he got away. I unbuttoned my uniform, revealing the orange jersey I've been wearing inside. I look at Farina. She giggles at how I got played.
I walk towards where a dobby at the end of the garden adjoined to a server room and a store. It was made to wash the clothes that were used when students do activities here. Until now, the facility still works. I went inside the room meanwhile Farina left outside. She wants to enjoy the environment. The dobby had washing machines and dryers installed next to a locker. I took off my clothes and put them in the dryer. Suddenly, A door connecting to the server room knocked.
"Oi Charle! Come here!" Rahim muffled behind the door.
I went to the door and opened it. Suddenly, I froze for a moment as the server room chills. I closed the door, then ran to a locker. I took a towel inside it. I wiped myself dry then put the towel in the dryer. Rahim was gaping at what I just did. Probably because I just bamboozled myself. I look at Rahim. He signals his hand to enter the server room.
