Chapter 3 - The beginning

19th January 2035

It's afternoon. The class session has ended. There's still time ere proceeding back to the dormitory. I stood on the roof of my school occupied with a coffee I bought from the school canteen. Chirps of birds harmonize into my ears while the flame of the sun illuminates the day. A place so empty and calm. Just like living in a dream. I was savoring the beauty of the world.

"Wish I can go on for some adventure."-took a sip from my cup- "But this is good too," I reasoned.

I was gazing at my country's tallest skyscraper, Niagara X. A superior figure of my country that consists of 1000 levels. It stood there as the 3rd highest building in the world, having a height of 3.5km. Falling only to China's number 1 tallest and America's 2nd tallest building in the world. As I was immersed in the picturesque scene. Someone shouted at me from behind. I took a glance behind me and noticed my companion, Rahim. Being disrupted of my relaxing time. I walked to him. He chuckles as I approached him.

"Don't interrupt me," I said as I hit his head. He understands me well that I hate getting interrupted yet he still teases me. "What brought you here?"

"To find you," A troubled boy yet has ripened voice. "There's something I wanna argue with you about," he said with a pressing face.

I understood how he is once he gets serious. It's unusual to find him to be serious. Not since 'that' happened between the students and teachers. I saw how he deliberately defending the student whilst standing by my side. Guess he is my friend after all.

I gazed at him waiting for a response, "What? What are you gonna talk about?'

"Just follow me. I'll talk about it on our way," he walks towards the staircase.

"Where to?" I caught a glimpse of something flying in the sky, a military chopper. "There's something fishy," I thought.

"Entertainment room"

"Alright chief," I tried to joke.

He glances at me with a stunning eye. Not asking another question I followed him to the stairs. Leaving my safe place.
