"My husband?" Jennifer laughed back as she heard that word. Her laugh echoed in their entire car but Edward knew that there was meaning behind this laugh of hers.
He watched her not saying anything further and only staring out from the window. As they passed through the streets, finally they were at their destination.
But to his dismay, the Princess didn't speak a single word. She stayed silent throughout the time and only talked with him as if he never asked her the question.
On coming to their designated table, they finally settled down and ordered their food.
From time to time, it was Edward who was stealing the glances of the princess. She acted as if everything was normal. 'Was I wrong to ask her about her husband?'
But she herself told him that it would be nice to know.... At this point, Edward was in a dilemma.
