Chapter 18 - Deathly Silence

Ward had betrayed them, the Nata race, and the faith of God.

That was unforgivable!

At this moment, all of the Nata race's locals were furious.

"You are the leader of the tribe here?"

Kurt snorted coldly. "If you know what's good for you, hand over those two women. They're hiding in your tribe. Don't be stubborn."

Then, he walked to Ward's side and patted him on the shoulder. He said, "A wise man submits to circumstances. If any of you can tell me their location, I can let them join us and enjoy all the glory and riches."

"Don't tell me that you are willing to stay in this godforsaken place for the rest of your lives?"

Kurt used his words to bewitch the natives of the Nata tribe.

"Humph, don't be delusional. We will hold our faith."

"We will not betray the Nata tribe. God will come to save us."

Some of the Nata tribe natives had different opinions; they said to their leader, "Leader, let's hand them over. They have no relatives or relations with us, and they are not people of our tribe. We don't need to protect them and sacrifice the lives of our entire tribe."

"That's right, Leader. Let's hand them over."

Kurt looked at these aborigines mockingly. He was not in a hurry to make a move. Instead, he slowly watched them come to a disagreement, and in the end, they broke down themselves.

Silk looked at these restless people and slammed the stick in his hand on the ground. He roared, "All of you, shut up!"

"Back then, when our ancestors were in danger, it was we who welcomed the gods that descended from the sky and saved our tribe. For many years, we have continued this tradition and treated every guest that came from outside. It is also because of this that our tribe's civilization far surpasses other tribes."

"Could it be that you are questioning the decision of our ancestors? Our tribe can live and die standing, but we can not live like cowards."

Although Silk's voice was soft, it showed his strong spirit. The locals who wanted to hand Diana over earlier lowered their heads in shame.

Kurt clapped his hands and laughed, and came in front of Silk. He said fiercely, "Faith, God, I want to see if your God will come and save you."

Kurt pressed his muzzle against Silk's chest, but Silk didn't panic. He glanced at the statue of God in front of him and slowly closed his eyes.

Kurt was stunned for a moment before he said with bloodthirst, "Perfect! This old fellow is not afraid of death."

Then, under his gaze, one of the poachers pulled out a four or five-year-old little girl from the crowd and aimed the deep muzzle at her head.

The little girl was so scared that she cried out loud. Her parents wanted to snatch the child back, but poachers shot them in the thigh. The bloody scene scared away the tribesmen who tried to rush forward.

Panic and fear.

"I will give you one minute. If you exceed this time, I will kill one person every minute until you say it. This little girl is the first. Haha."

Kurt's evil voice echoed among the Nata tribe.

At this moment, in a secret place of the tribe, the view here was wide, and people from here could see the crowd below.

"Diana, you can't go out now. We want a safe way," Alice said.

"There's no time. We can't be so selfish and let those innocent Nata people sacrifice themselves for nothing," Diana refused.

Alice replied solemnly, "But if we go out like this, have you thought about the consequences? We will fall into the hands of the poachers. Have you thought about how miserable our end will be?"

Diana let out a breath. Of course, she knew this better than anyone else.

However, she could not watch as the Nata villagers protecting her died one by one under the cold guns.

Moreover, the helpless and terrified look of the little girl was very similar to the scene when she was young. Her family also died tragically under the guns of others.

Diana would not allow this scene to happen again.

"Both of you can stay here. I'll go out alone." After saying that, Diana walked out.

"Wait!" Alice gritted her teeth and said, "I'll go with you."

At this moment, Harden also stood up. "Damn it, if I die, so be it. At worst, we will die together."

Seeing that the two women were not afraid, he, as a man, couldn't be a coward like he had been for decades. Today, he had to be challenging for a while: F*ck the poachers.

A minute passed in the blink of an eye. Kurt's face wholly darkened, and he gave a glance to the poachers beside him.

The other Natar people were all anxious, especially the little girl's parents. They struggled against the other people's tugs, wanting to pounce on the poachers and fight them to the death.

"Ka-cha!"

The sound of the trigger being pulled sounded, and a poacher loaded the bullets.

Just as the trigger was about to be pulled, a roar came from another place.

"Why did you guys come out?" Silk asked anxiously.

Kurt looked at the three people who came out, especially Diana. It seemed that she had taken a bath. Although she had changed into tribal clothes, it still could not hide her alluring beauty.

Most of the tribal women's clothes only reached their thighs. Diana revealed half of her long snow-white legs, which were exposed in the air and deeply attracted Kurt's eyeballs.

His gaze was like an electronic radar scanning from top to bottom, revealing naked desire.

At this moment, he felt that his entire body was about to explode.

"Let them go; I'll go with you," Diana said coldly.

"Okay, of course, no problem." Kurt had a strange look in his eyes as he nodded at the two poachers.

Then they tied up Diana, Alice, and Harden with nylon ropes. That was what they used to tie up their prey, but they tied it to the bodies of the three of them. It showed how much Kurt valued them.

"You can let them go now!" Diana looked at Kurt coldly.

"Haha! You are too naive."Kurt laughed as he made a hand gesture, and a gunshot sounded; the little girl who was pointed at by the muzzle fell weakly to the ground. She slowly closed her eyes. Tears fell from her eyes and dripped onto the ground.

There was a bloody hole the size of a bullet hole in her temple.

At this moment, there was a dead silence.

Diana stared blankly at the little girl on the ground. She stood there as if she had lost her soul.

At this moment, the little girl's mother's eyes were bulging out. She did not dare to face this result, or she could not accept it.

Kurt did not even look at the little girl in front of him. He said to the dazed Diana, "You caused all of this. If you had not come here, they would have been fine. It was you who killed her."

Kurt looked at the dazed Diana and then pointed at the little girl on the ground.

"For your stupidity, I've decided to kill all of them here. Hahaha..."

Diana was stunned. There was only one sentence in her mind. 'These people were all killed because of you.'

"Get ready!"

The other poachers let out a ferocious sound and muttered, "A massacre? I like it."

...

At this moment, Mcgee and the others, who were not far away from the tribe, clearly heard a gunshot.

Alex also heard it. He swung his tail in the air and sped towards the location of the gunshot.
