Chapter 38 - Bear With It a Little Longer

"You should be careful too. You must survive. If you can't outrun them, climb on the black cloth. I don't think the pig can climb."

The two of them made a brief plan and ran away.

The black pigs chased after them respectively.

After running for a distance, Nancy looked behind her.

Suddenly, the girl's lips curled up.

Immediately, she grabbed the black cloth and jumped up.

The black pig could not brake in time and ran under her.

She released her hand and a sharp cold light flashed past.

The black hair as long as a bamboo chopstick was cut off from the roots and fell to the ground.

Then, she leaned over and swept across the ground.

When she turned around, there were several bamboo chopsticks between her fingers.

This series of actions was done in one go, with extreme speed.

By the time the black boar reacted, its two eyes had pierced into the two bamboo chopsticks.

Another two stabbed into its weakest area, the neck.

The black pig cried out in pain. It was like a slaughterhouse.

Although it was not a slaughterhouse, this was indeed a one-sided slaughter.

Nancy took two steps back and gasped for breath.

Her normally pure and moist eyes were now extremely cold, without any emotion.

If there was an outsider here, they would definitely be shocked by the metallic ruthless aura on her body.

She was just a teenage girl.

Why was she like a killing machine?

The pig let out a series of cries as it frantically jumped around.

The flattened back looked a little funny. The remaining bamboo chopsticks on both sides cut the black cloth into strips.

The horrible scene was comparable to the black yak that had gone mad.

Nancy straightened her back and watched it hop around expressionlessly.

She counted the time in her head, by the time she reached ten…

With a bang, the guardian black boar fell to the ground and disappeared.

The girl walked over and picked up the clue.

Without stopping for a second, she walked straight in the direction indicated by the note.

However, before she could take two steps, she felt the warmth of the divine light illuminating the land.

She could not see the divine light, but the feeling was very intense.

Not only was the sinister and oppressive atmosphere of this place covered, but even her exhausted body seemed to have been purified. Her mind was exceptionally clear.

"Child, was this mess caused by you?"

While speaking in a divine and ethereal voice, that person adjusted his glasses and shook his head helplessly.

Nancy coughed lightly and turned around. Her vision blurred and she almost fainted.

She rubbed her forehead and said softly, "If it were me, I would have been wrapped in a black cocoon already."

"Hehe."

That person smiled slowly, "Child, although your body is a little weak, your brain is very smart. If you change your body to a healthy one, you'll be very suitable for this game."

Nancy pursed her dry lips and said, "Forget it, even if I may die of illness at any time, I want to die outside. Cough, cough, cough."

She turned around and covered her mouth as she coughed.

Her back felt warm as the repairman gently patted her back to help her breathe. His expression of pity seemed like he was comforting a cub.

Nancy panted weakly. If he had not pressed her back, she would not have been able to stand properly.

After a long while, she finally had the energy to speak, "Thank you."

The repairman looked at her for a moment, then touched her head.

Slowly, he said, "Poor child. Every time I see you, I can't help but feel pity about the state you're in. There are still two hours left. Bear with it, it will end soon."

Nancy turned around to look at his clear eyes, and the watery appearance made them resemble a pure and clean pond.

His eyes were beautiful, they were pure and delicate.
