Rani?"
I was shocked as to how and why she came to me, even more as to how she found me. At the sound of her name she whimpered and clinched on to my shirt even tighter.
"Do you know this rouge?" Reagan came closer to us at the sound of Rani's name.
"Yah, we were born in the same pack until we were forced to separate," I tried to say as little as I could without the memories of that fateful day flooding down on me. But I still couldn't get one thought out of my head, 'what happened to Rani?' as I looked down at her.
We left the forest heading for the pack house and once we were about to reach the small stairway to the front door we meet Leone. Rani was right behind me holding on to my shirt as though I would disappear once again.
"hello little sis, where have you been all afternoon?"
"The real question is where have you been?" I said referring to his clothes that were drenched in a smooth black mud.
"Don't you know soil is good for your skin," he said in a duh tone "and you wonder why I have better skin than you do," at that, there was a giggle from behind me.
"Who is that behind you?" Leone suddenly became defensive at the smell of a rouge so deep in the territory. Again Rani whimpers at the aggressive tone that Leone took on so suddenly as she came out from behind me. Mimicking me, Leone's face shifts to shock as he says the same thing I said.
"Rani?" she offered a small smile and a wave to the very shocked Leone.
"H-h-how?" was all he could say.
"That is what I want to know as well also how is it that you two are the only ones who has gotten through to this rouge she wolf?" The anger on Reagan's face was vivid as well as the growl in his voice, the way his face contours as his sharp facial feature shift into that of anger scares not only me but made me realise that he does not like being kept in dark. The train of thoughts went on to how he might possibly react to the truth about me, my past and my true nature but this was not the time to think of such matters.
"How about we get inside and maybe then we can explain things to you," Leone offered. We entered the pack house and went into Reagan's office as the discussion we where we were about to have was somehow confidential.
Reagan angerly sat down in his chair. His arms where crossing each other as he leaned back in his chair, his dark hair partly covered his eyes and his grey seemed as through they were glowing with unstoppable anger.
'Damn, what on Earth did you do to him to get all worked up,' Leone asked through the mind link we shared.
'Nothing, we were in the forest when Rani run into me and he has been like this since then, that's it,' I replied back perplexed.
'It doesn't seem like that's it to me.'
"If you are done maybe you can tell me what is actually going on here," again with the growl. At this point my wolf began scratching at the walls of my mind and I knew something was bothering my mate and my wolf wanted to comfort him.
"Leone, leave us," was all it took to get my brother out of the room pulling Rani with him mutter to us that he would be in the kitchen if we needed him. As soon as the door shut I walked until I stood in front of him as he sat in one of the armless chairs that were in his office. I finally took one long good look to study perfect his face, I just now noticed that his pretty light grey eyes had red in them showing that his wolf was not only angry but was trying to take control.
I acted on instinct and straddled him as he sat in his chair giving him a hug as I pulled him as close as I possibly could in hope that he could fell the comfort I was tying to give him. He held on to me the same way a mad man would to his sanity, he buried his face into my hair, took a long sniff of my hair and planted a small kiss onto my neck that sent lovely shivers down my spine. He smirked against my skin as he felt the shiver, I couldn't control myself any longer I pushed his face from my neck and smashed my lips against his. He was quick to respond and pulled me closer than before if that where even possible.
I had no idea what I was doing but I did not what to nor did I plan to stop. The slow kiss easily turned into a full on make out session as he deepened the kiss. Reagan lost it when I let out a small moan and pulled the little hairs at the back of his head , he bit my lower lip to allow his tongue into my mouth as he explored every inch of it and I could tell he was getting a little too excited but nevertheless, he pulled away letting me gasp for air that I had no idea I needed.
"We should stop or else I wont be able to stop my wolf, Ash," he said as he too took in deep amounts of air. After the moment we just had I forgot why we were here in the first place.
Reagan went back to his Alpha mode after he had recovered from the kiss but I was still experiencing its side effects. I mean it was my first real kiss with my mate that was not interrupted by my brother but we still had business to attend to. I dismount from Reagan's lap despite the slight whimper from him as I went and sat in one of the chairs that where opposite from him.
"Back to Rani," I began, "If I remember correctly, Rani should be between seventeen and eighteen years old, we were born in the same pack and she was the daughter of the beta of the pack but she was not the future Beta as she had an Older brother, August."
"Then how did you end up like this." He said referring to how we were all separated.
"When we were young pups, our pack was attacked and many where killed, Rani was with us when it all began but somehow we were separated and until we met in the forest just a few minutes ago, I believed Rani was dead," just as I was about to say something Rain abruptly run into the room instantly making me shout praises to the moon goddess that I was not on Reagan's lap or else I would not have survived the constant smirking and side comments from Leone.
"Uhm, Beta Barin found his mate, she is beyond terrified of him making him even more angry and that just scares her more."
It took me a while to put two and two together as my eye widen. Rani is the only new wolf in the pack house and in her current state, she is in no condition to meet anyone she is not familiar with even if it is her mate.
"Shit." I curse as I run out of the office and followed Rani scent into the kitchen only to find Rani sitting in corner with her hands pulling at her hair with large tear drops running down her freckled face. Leone was in the other corner trying to hold down a desperate Barin who was trying to get to his mate. His eyes where red and his teeth and elongated showing that his wolf had taken over as he kept repeating over and over again 'mate' or 'mine'.
