The basement shook under the influence of the Frenzied Ghoul's cry. The glass door on the prison cells exploded and at the same time, the experiments were pushed back as well. Aldo who was busy making a getaway was impaled by the exploding glass shards. There were just too many of them for him to dodge.
Even though there were shards all over his body, he couldn't spare a second to see what was going on. He kept running towards the exit not once turning around to see what monstrosity Zaen had brought into the world of the living.
However, it wasn't like Aldo needed to turn around to see what was going on. The cry he had heard was more than enough for him to guess what was going on. He didn't know how, he didn't know why, but he knew one thing... one of the guardian beasts had appeared on the battlefield. Whether it was a friend or a foe was a thing left to be seen.
