It was the middle of the night when Zaen entered his vault. He had just gone to ask Mack and Michelle whether they knew anything about Jasmine being part of the special force. They both were just as stunned as he had been when he saw her with the special force in the memory. The more they talked the more they realised that none of them had any idea who Jasmine really was even though she had spent 20 years with them.
However, Zaen wasn't the only one there with shocking news. As he ended up getting another load of emotional shocks from both Michelle and Mack. It was to the point that Zaen had started contemplating whether anything he had known for his life was real or just a convenient fabrication of facts for the others.
Zaen didn't give them any information about what he had seen in the memory and told them he had someone who helped him look for the information. The less they know about the ghouls the safer they would be. It was as simple as that.
