"Aeron, are you okay?" Uncle Mack asked the kid as soon as he saw the dead soldiers around him.
He himself got hit by a couple of bullets on his right shoulder. Although he was in pain, he had only received a couple of flesh wounds so he was better off than Bruce or Michelle. Bruce had lept over Mack to protect him as he was directly in the line of fire. While Michelle tried her best to shield Aeron and in the end got hit by multiple bullets herself. Blanca tried to protect Michelle but she was too far to do anything to for her.
The bullets had rained over them like a hailstorm. Thus most of the soldiers were dead and it didn't seem like Michelle or Bruce were going to make it either. They had already lost too much blood, and with the soldiers eliminated, the rest didn't have a chance against the assailant who was in perfect condition even after going up against dozen upon dozen of soldiers.
