I knew it was a possibility that Jacy would run from me again. I needed to sit her down and make her talk to me. I needed her to tell me why it is that she was so against finding a mate. I knew how wolves were, they were supposed to want this whole mating thing more than any other shifter group. So why then, was my wolf mate running away from me?
I had stepped into the elevator when it arrived, my hand held out for her to follow after me. I had hoped that she would get on right after me, but of course she didn't. I watched in horror as she turned and ran away just as the elevator doors shut in front of me. Where was she going now?
I wanted to follow right after her, but I also wanted to give her time to think. This mating thing was a lot harder than I thought it was.
