EZ grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the cab we had taken to the club. The lights on the outside of the massive building were ice blue and made the whole place glow with a fun yet eerie quality to it. The club's name was written in massive curving letters: ICICLE. This was EZ's favorite club, not because it was the best but because it was where he always had the most fun. We were still in the seaport district, so not too far from my place thankfully.
I just gave in and let EZ pull me along behind him. He was a regular here and qualified as a VIP with the amount of money he often spent so we didn't have to wait in line. Though, that fact always earned up jeers and groans from those waiting to gain admittance as they lined up around the block.
"Come on."
"Hey."
"Let us in already." The words were pretty much the same as always even though the voices always varied. Every time I heard them I just glared at the hecklers and that usually shut them right up.
