The sound of shifting can be heard from my room as I hurried to go clean the mess that's on my floor. Apparently, there were going to be two humans coming by to live with the pack. One of them knowing we're supernatural but I was told the other had no idea.
The younger one, apparently the child of the father was going to stay with me. I wasn't exactly happy with it, but I couldn't go against the wishes of the pack alpha. She would have my head for even disagreeing slightly.
On the bright side, we'll have a few new additions to the pack, it's always nice to have two more helping arms, it'll also be fun to see the shock on the normie's face.
I move the cleaning into my bathroom and stare at myself in the reflection. My long hair was put into a man bun messily on top of my head. A few strands of hair fell from it and landed over my right eye.
I didn't bother tucking it in as I went over my appearance one more time. The freckles on my face seemed to glisten along with my skin in the light of my bathroom. I was a little sunburnt from playing outside yesterday, funny how werewolves don't get any form of sickness besides a terrible virus from too much wolfsbane and silver, yet we can get sunburns. Not really sure why but oh well.
Around my eyes and the top half of my face was my natural skin color, hidden from the harsh rays of the sun by the sunglasses I wore. I was pale, but the sunburnt skin covering my face suggested a slightly darker shade of white, the bottom half of my face looking olive.
The whiteness of my face complimented my electric blue eyes. I trailed down my body past the red shirt I was wearing stopping above the red shorts I threw on in a hurry. I looked good today.
I finished cleaning and head outside of my room to go make a sandwich. I grabbed the turkey and cheese from the fridge as well as the lettuce and set them all on the counter.
Ham was disgusting, anyone who liked it should be burned at the stake. It tasted like produce incarnate.
I shook my head at the thought and gagged dramatically, laughing at myself and my goofy behavior.
'Well you're certainly giddy today' A voice sounded through my head. I smiled, 'and good morning to you too sleeping beauty' I teased. Sammy or "sleeping beauty" is my wolf, she resides inside my head and is at the very core of my soul, making her a part of me.
'Don't start with that ridiculous name Tyler' she huffed, 'it's too early in the morning. What're you making?' I chuckled and finished the sandwich by plopping the bread on top of lettuce.
'Turkey sandwich. Felt like going for a little snack before we go and talk to check on the pack for today.' Sammy grew happy, I could feel the positive energy radiating from her. It spread throughout my entire body. 'Another day to see the gorgeous little baby wolves rough play' I shook my head, Sammy was obsessed with those babies. She wanted one of her own but we both agreed to wait for our mate.
Her being a female womb meant that I could get pregnant, I haven't any idea how it works because I've yet to take the wolf version of biology. Our anatomy was heavily similar to that of humans, so I saw no need to, but looking back on it. It would be nice to know.
I walked from the kitchen to the outside of my dorm-like building where there were a couple of groups of people walking outside just hanging out.
I strolled down the stone path, my bare feet hitting the ground with tiny slaps. The sounds of grunting and growling grew louder as I approached the field of grass where mini groups of people practiced combat in both their wolf and human forms. Watching them bound around and jump in the air got me excited, I wanted to join but both Sammy and I had a greater desire to see the kids.
Further down the path past the field of grass and warriors is the daycare. Here is where the parents of the pack take their kids for a little while they go attend to whatever matters they have.
I pushed the doors open and smile, I intake the smell of the baby wolves who immediately sniff me out at the entrance.
An army of baby wolves throw themselves onto me, some in pup forms, others still in human form. I chuckled from the floor as the kids climb all over me, covering me in their scents.
'Let me out!! I wanna snuggle with them' Sammy whines desperately. 'Ok ok,' I stood up and waved my hands to tell the kids to move back. "Alright guys, some space, please. Sammy wants to play!" I exclaim playfully.
The daycare was filled with little cheers and howls of happiness as the children watch me shapeshift.
I kneel to the ground take a deep breath in. I look into the depths of my soul, Sammy meeting me halfway there. I pet her head and scratch behind her ear, "you ready?" I asked, "Always." I nod and place my hand upon her head, closing my eyes and allowing her presence to take over my body completely, switching spots with her, now residing in her mind.
My body begins to crack and rumble. My body's bones shift and resize as I began to spurt patches of fur from everywhere. My arms and legs thin and become thick paws slamming onto the ground. I shrink and resize into the shape of a wolf and begin growing once more, bigger than I previously was before.
Now in my place was Sammy, we have officially swapped places. She gets into a playful position and runs around the children giddily, laughing in our shared headspace.
She curls her big body around the entirety of the children and huffs happily. However playtime was cut short by the booming voice of our alpha shouting into the pack link connecting all wolves.
Sammy jolted hearing her alphas voice and carried us quickly to my room so that I could shift back and grab some clothing. The pups howled and whined after us but we had to leave in order to meet the new guest.
Shifting back was an easy process. I grabbed another pair of shorts and a shirt from my room drawer seeing as tho I left my other clothing in the daycare from leaving in such a hurry.
'Hurry Tyler, they're here' the alpha chimed through our link 'coming!' I yell back darting towards the edge of pack land property where they were gonna come through in.
