Chapter 257 - Draconic Body

Shards of the spike broke off of Soul's head, sending black fragments across the black room, quickly becoming indistinguishable from the rest of the room. "Wh..what?! How the hell are you not dead?!" The dragon yelled, trying to do the same thing three more times, to no avail. "Well, dragon. It comes down to a simple premise or fact. You wouldn't be able to kill me. I told you that size matters not in a battle of true strength, and you didn't listen. Now, I'm going to have fun dealing with you." Soul responded, snapping his fingers with a smile.

The room lit up as the glowing white orb turned black. The room was a pale white with barely any defining traits, except for the black shards littering the floor. "You...what did you do?" The dragon asked as Soul just chuckled. "Well, if you don't want to help me out with my next plan, you'll have to deal with my annoyances for quite a long time." Soul threatened the dragon, causing him to immediately shut up. "There. Now, I need to find who planned on paying you to kill me. What they did was not a nice thing. I'm not even the original host of this body, so if it died on me, the host wouldn't be all that happy with me." Soul sighed.

As the room began to change colours due to Soul's influence, Soul created a vision of Aaron's Kingdom. "This is the place where I live. I have my own Kingdom. This is a place where all monsters can live without any worries. Think of it as a neutral city between humans and Inhumans. A place where all creatures of any shape or size can sit at a table and drink together. A place to build relations that couldn't be forged anywhere else." Soul explained, his eyes lighting up as the dragon asked itself something. 'What the fuck have I gotten myself into?'

"We'd make sure that nothing terrible ever happened in our city. If fights started, we'd break them up personally or hire people to work under us for that reason. We'd offer jobs, a way to get paid, and everything would, hopefully, run smoothly. However, I couldn't guarantee anything yet, since all we have in the city right now is ourselves, maybe a few humans, and some Werewolves. You have two options, dragon. Your first is that you back with us to the city and help us protect it, or your second involves me annoying the living shit out of you or Corrupting you. You don't really have the best options right now, but hey, I'm the one who's in control." Soul explained, giving the dragon two, or really one, options.

"You expect me to join you? I was paid to kill you, and the promise of a new city won't shake my resolve." The dragon responded, almost as if the dragon believed that he was stronger than Soul. This caused Soul to sigh as he created a humanoid body without any features beside him. "You'll get a humanoid form that you can change into at will. Whatever strength will be condensed into that tiny body, and you'll be able to take down foes easily. After all, I tend to fight humanoids for longer than large entities." Soul told the dragon, trying to bribe him with the promise of strength. "Plus, I know of a way to increase someone's strength while they're in a humanoid state, and I know you want to become stronger. After all, there aren't many people who think they are too strong. I'm pretty sure I'm way too powerful, but that won't stop me from just enjoying myself." Soul explained as the dragon seriously started weighing up the pros and cons. He would die if he accepted this deal, and if he didn't, then Soul would annoy or kill him, so there wasn't really a good side to the first one. Plus, he could also earn more money later.

"Fine. I'll accept your deal. First, though. Let me access the new body and test it out on you. If it is sufficiently strong, I'll be pleased." The dragon haughtily told Soul, who smiled. "Well then, please, close your eyes, or look away from what I'm doing. I need to come up with a design for your body and clothes. We can't have you running around naked." Soul explained, unsure if the dragon could actually see, considering it was an orb of light that Soul had his hand in for the entire time they talked.

Soul designed a body with some silver scales along the arms, the back and the legs. It was just so that some part of him was similar to the original body. Soul then made a little command that he put into the body. It was hard to describe what the order was. If it was to be out simply, it would be something like this. Copy and Paste Status Value. Yeah, that's essentially what the command did so that his strength would be the same between both bodies. Soul didn't know how well this would work, but he'd have to see how it functioned. The body was kind of like Aaron's, at least in how it was structured. It was skinny, had white skin, over six feet tall, but that was about all of the similarities. The body he had created had dull red hair lined with some silver highlights, but they weren't white. He wore a black tracksuit, emblazoned with no logo. They had a white stripe along the outsides of each leg.

Soul gave him a black hoodie, along with a red t-shirt emblazoned with a logo. Skelengel. If he was going to be creating clothing for someone, he wanted to add his own personal touch. It was in plain white text like you'd see on t-shirts, with a logo behind it. Skeletal Wings, just like those of an angel. After all, he was the Skelengel, and he still kept himself close to that name.

'You know what? Maybe skeletal wings aren't so bad.' Soul thought to himself as he finished up the clothes. He was ready to show them to the dragon.

"Alright, open your eyes when you are ready."
