Aaron sighed, realising what Soul had done. Soul had taken over his body and then threatened the Basilisk. Aaron snapped his fingers, the Corruption pulling away from the Basilisk, as Aaron heard its screams of pain. "Let me out! Let me out of this torture!" It yelled, unaware that Aaron had lifted the Corruption from its head. It was like the Basilisk was trapped in a nightmare. "Oh, I could, but you'd have to swear loyalty to me," Aaron responded as the Basilisk gasped. The pain had been temporarily removed, and this was his chance.
The tail of the Basilisk flicked towards Aaron, and he prepared to cut it off, but someone had already gotten to it before him. Seph and None were costed in a golden light, their swords glowing similarly. This was their United Skill: Super Boost. It increased most of their stats tenfold, at the cost of draining their stamina five times as fast and becoming ten times less resistant to damage.
Aaron watched as Seph and None slashed at the tail, severing it as if it was a block of mature cheese. The Basilisk screamed out in pain, causing the black and pink Corruption to expand slightly. The Corruption fed on the physical and mental pain of others. That way, it could stay perfect, not allowing any gaps in its defence. "I could reattach that tail for you if you wanted. You'd have to swear loyalty to me and even go as far as to sign a contract if you were that sure of your loyalty, but I'd be happy with just a verbal agreement." Aaron taunted the Basilisk as its screams and shrieks of pain roared across the desert.
"Fine! Fine! I'll swear loyalty to you! Just get this stuff off of me!" The Basilisk yelled in response as Aaron deviously smiled. "As you wish," Aaron responded, snapping fingers once more, this time intending for the Corruption to leave the Basilisk. The black and pink substance shot off of the Basilisk, covering Aaron instead. It stuck to Aaron like paint. However, slowly, using his mind, he got the Corruption Fluid to re-enter his tear ducts. It was like trying to pick up a non-Newtonian fluid while barely putting any force on it. It wasn't easy. Not at all.
"Well then, now, how should we set up this pact of loyalty? After all, you aren't really the most trustworthy monster yet." Aaron contemplated out loud as he used Boundless Telekinesis to heal the Basilisk's tail, only to be met with a lightning-quick slap to the face with its tail. Aaron wasn't expecting it, so he was sent flying into the distance. "As if I'd pledge true loyalty to a monster that's below. A skeleton nonetheless! Such absurd thoughts shall not be called upon in my presence!" The Basilisk yelled as Aaron appeared behind him almost instantly after he said that. Aaron then decided to reduce his outward mana expulsion to zero. If someone was to try to scan his mana levels, somehow, it would read zero, even though he was releasing something far stranger. It wasn't mana. That's right.
He was releasing pure, invisible energy. Also known as Godly Energy. Let me explain.
On most planets, mana is used. That's fine. However, where Crystet came from, they used a different branch of mana which they had evolved, and called it 'Ki'. You can't just swap between two types of mana at will. Not even the gods can change that. Now, the gods have access to their own energy that can be described as an evolved form of mana. This is Godly Energy, and Gods usually cannot access such power while travelling to different planets if they choose to do that. However, this is where the title 'Ultimatum' and its related ability 'Ultimate' come into play.
The description, or skill, of the ability, reads as follows. 'It grants the user ability to increase their planetary aura to that which shows when they are in their True Form'. Now, when Gods are in their True Form, in the heavens, Takamagahara, what do you think is shown to other gods, and is the basis for how much mana they can produce?
Godly Energy.
Now, if Aaron was to infinitely release his mana beyond comprehension, at some point, it would turn into Godly Energy by itself. However, Godly Energy, on its own, can create a certain amount of mana, depending on how much you have. Take Aaron. He may have infinite mana, but does that mean he has theoretically endless Godly Energy? Absolutely. After all, his mana, at some point, turns into Godly Energy. Why do you think his mana is simply condensing and not ripping him apart at the cellular level due to the stress of containing it?
This is your piece of information for the day. The more you know. Now, back to the story.
Aaron's Godly Energy let forth a strange black shot of energy. The reason for its dark colour is because of his Soul. You know why it is black now. The black bolt of energy pierced the Basilisk, and a small amount of the energy stabbed the ground as Aaron clicked his fingers. "Set off the Lightshow!" He exclaimed as the energy that did not escape the Basilisk's body shot out into streams of light, piercing its body from every angle. It was almost like thousands of miniature satellite lasers had fired at the Basilisk. It was like a disco ball reflecting the light from the room.
The brain of the Basilisk was spiked in many places, and the Basilisk fell limp, dying on the spot. "Well, that certainly wasn't what I had in mind for today, but I'm not going to let this perfect corpse go to waste. Well, perfect aside from the many holes." Aaron finished up as his right arm turned into a vantablack substance, and this was God Eater.
I'm pretty sure you can guess what happened next.
