Chapter 207 - Teleportation

Sciat snapped his fingers, and the pair arrived back to the city. "I just stopped your teleportation so that I'd be able to tag along with you. Now, shall we head off?" Sciat explained, looking at Aaron and the still unconscious Seph. None sighed, taking control of his body for the time that Seph wasn't awake. "Sorry about him. Honestly, it was, probably, just because you transported him from teleportation so suddenly." None spoke in his place, giving a guess as to why Seph fell unconscious. "No matter. Aaron, can you still access his memories?" Sciat asked as Aaron looked sown at Seph and None, who were still on the ground. "Probably. It's not like memories get erased when you go unconscious. At least, not memories from a long time ago." Aaron explained as he crouched down and put his hand on Seph and None's head, trying to access their memories.

After a few seconds, Aaron found something, but he wasn't sure if it was the right place. "I found something intriguing, but I don't know if this is where the orcs or werewolves live," Aaron said out loud, mainly directing this at Sciat, but None answered in his place. "I wouldn't try and do any teleporting while Seph is unconscious. After all, he knows where we need to go to, while you do not. It seems kind of stupid to try and teleport to a place that you've never been to while the only person here who has is unconscious, no?" None pointed out, causing Aaron to sigh as he snapped his fingers.

This snap of his fingers didn't make any noise, but it created a specific frequency, and this just barely woke Seph up. The frequency was around 4-7Hz, and it was just enough to awaken him. This was when Aaron snapped his fingers again, amplifying the high pitched sound by about five times its original volume, hurting the ears of everyone present, including Aaron. However, this did the trick, shocking Seph out of his waking-up state enough so he'd actually be able to think clearly.

"So, Seph, we need you to be conscious for us to properly teleport as a group," Aaron told him as Seph cracked his knuckles. "Damn. I was really enjoying being unconscious, but what does it matter? It's not like I remember any of it anyway, so let's get this show on the road. Alright, so just teleport us when you're ready." Seph responded as he closed his eyes, waiting for Aaron to access the correct file in his mind, as last time, Seph basically pushed the correct memory into Aaron's face.

"With pleasure," Aaron responded, putting his index finger on top of Seph's head as Sciat looked at him in confusion. "What the fuck are you doing, Aaron? There's definitely a better way of doing it than this, right?" Sciat asked him in confusion, and Aaron just grinned as Seph offered up the memory. "Oh, there almost certainly is, but I like doing it this way, so that's the way I'm going to do it. So, I'm ready to go. Are you ready, Sciat?" Aaron responded, asking a question to turn Sciat's focus as he finished the teleportation preparation. He didn't wasn't fond of the idea of them ending up in some random area, so he was just reinforcing the spell so that it wouldn't be broken like what Sciat did to it.

"Yeah, I'm ready to go, but are you sure that you don't want to try a different way? After all, this just seems useless compared to how I teleport places." Sciat questioned Aaron as Aaron just smiled at him in response. This was enough to creep out Sciat, as he was forced to remember the smile of Aaron when he was Corrupted, and he much preferred this version of Aaron over the previous one. "Alright, no need to say another word. I don't want to test my luck more than I already am." Sciat rectified as Aaron snapped his fingers, the group appearing in a long-forsaken desert. Aaron looked around, finding only a single village in the distance, but it was at the very border of his vision. It was extremely far away, but Aaron wasn't sure if this was the right place.

"Seph, are you sure that this is the place? After all, this just appears to be a random desert." Aaron asked Seph and None, as None drew his katana. "Aaron, I'm going to have to ask you to make a sheath for this later on, but for now, I can sense the presence of a monster, and it doesn't appear to be too pleased with our arrival." None explained as Seph drew his broadsword as well. "I can't sense any hostility in the air around us, but maybe it's because I'm used to the auras of gods and my own presence," Aaron explained as he sat on the air, relaxing. "So, let us wait for this angry character to arrive. After all, I know how stuff like this usually goes. It's going to either pop out from the ground in front of us. Or try to attack us from behind." Aaron explained as the ground around them began to tremor.

"What did I tell you guys? It's going to attack us from behind, and I'm calling it right now. If I'm wrong, I'll set up a bar, and you both have unlimited membership. Better hope I'm wrong." Aaron told them as the trembling continued to get stronger. "Been a while since I've had alcohol. Wonder if it still tastes nice." Sciat wondered as Seph just looked at them in confusion. Since he was fostered by the church, he was never informed of alcohol or anything like it. He was never exposed to anything.

The ground split open behind them, just as Aaron predicted, and he put up his palm, using Boundless Infinity, the Status Form, to infinitely spin a small layer of air between him and the incoming monster, which would stop any incoming attack. A snake of sorts. It was a Basilisk, and Aaron was simply putting up his hand to stop it.

"Called it," Aaron said with a smile, driving fear into the Basilisk. It knew that it was going to die from here on unless he played his cards right. What was the first thing the Basilisk did after its first attack failed? It attacked again, and Aaron couldn't help but smile.

"Thought Basilisks from ancient myths would be more intelligent than this but no." Aaron grinned as the Basilisk watched itself get tied up, and it couldn't do anything to stop Aaron. Now, it was Aaron's turn, and the Basilisk wasn't going to have fun.
