Chapter 202 - Declaration of A Competetion

Aaron watched as the crowd jumped away from Crystet, scared by his sudden appearance among them, and Crystet just smiled. "So, are you ready to listen to Aaron? He was the one who saved your pitiful lives, after all!" Crystet asked the crowd, who were too afraid to answer. Aaron lifted up his hand towards Crystet, signalling for him to calm down. "No need for that Crystet. We're all on the same side here, aren't we? Well, not really, but you know what I mean. Now, Crystet, get out of that crowd before I make you. We're trying to be friendly to these people." Aaron told Crystet, who sighed in response before walking out from the crowd.

Aaron lifted up his left arm, and his index finger turned black, almost turning to a liquid, yet it stayed attached to his finger. "Do you remember this, Crystet?" Aaron asked him quietly, the black material slightly spreading to his hand. Crystet looked at it, but he couldn't quite tell what it was.

"No, I don't know what this is, Aaron. Would you mind telling me?" Crystet responded as Aaron smiled. "Well, you remember how on the last planet there were things called Monuments? Guardians of a certain element. I used this to absorb the Major Earth Guardian. I could use this to absorb you as well." Aaron informed Crystet as his face turned white. "So, I believe we know where we stand. Do not interrupt this, as even though you look cool, we need the humans to trust us." Aaron finished before turning to the crowd of humans, his hand back to normal.

"Sorry about that! I just needed to have a little talk with him, that's all! Now, if you have any questions about the recent events, please feel free to let me know right now." Aaron announced, and there was, almost immediately, shouting and confusion. It was a bit too much for Aaron to handle, So he put both hands up into the air, signalling everyone to stop. Everyone looked at Aaron as his hands were now slightly covered in black material, and he just sighed. "Listen. I'll listen to your questions individually, but I first have to explain this stuff on my hand, don't I?" He announced, as everyone was now curious about his hands. Specifically, the sides of his hand were covered with a strange black liquid, reminiscent of corruption, but without any pink.

"This can be attributed to my power in one way. This is a skill which is named God-Eater, and it can do what its name says. So, this means that I can absorb gods and anything below me, which means that I could be classified as a god. I want you to think about that for a second. A single skill, which made an overpowered being even more powerful. Imagine what you could do with that power. What would you humans do? Take over the world? Conquer everything? I have no idea. It's been a long time since I've had meaningful contact with humans. However, there's one thing that this skill can do that you wouldn't expect." Aaron explained, revealing some information about himself. He was making this up on the spot, but he honestly attributed his strength to the Boundless System, which was the only reason he was here.

"So, this ability allows me to grant or steal skills and other properties to whatever I absorb and to spit them back out, essentially meaning that I can give or take whatever I want from whoever I choose. I have some ideas for how I could use this, but here's an idea you all might like." Aaron continued, pointing towards the stars. "If you allow me and the King to do what we plan to do and re-instate him as your King, I'll hold a tournament which all will be allowed to enter. It'll be a special tournament. Simply, all you have to do is sign up, and whoever wins gets a special gift from me. You could call it a Taste of Heaven. A Glimpse at Takamagahara. Whatever you want to call it. So, what do you think about it?" Aaron exclaimed, and everyone, surprisingly enough, seemed pretty happy with the idea. I mean, a look into heaven? You'd never experience that in a million years of life! It's a once in a lifetime opportunity!

"So, I presume that you're happy with that?" Aaron asked the crowd, and the cheers that erupted actually caused him to recoil. He didn't feel pain, but dear god, was it loud. "Jesus, you need to actually quiet down because I can barely hear my own thoughts over how loud these humans are," Aaron muttered to himself, his hands on his ears. Aaron didn't think that the humans would be this cooperative with his plans. "Well. Guess I'm going to have to deal with this for a little bit. However, it appears that everything is done. I've set up everything."

Aaron turned around to face the King, a smile on his face. "So, King, we now have my end of the deal done. Will you give us permission to create our kingdom for sentient monsters?" Aaron asked them, the King sighing. "Honestly, I didn't think you'd be able to subdue the crows, but you did it. I'm a man who tries to stay true to my word. You have my permission to build this kingdom of yours, but do not build it too close to ours." The King informed Aaron, letting him know of the restrictions.

"Don't worry, we have our own place where we'll create it. Well, if your citizens have any questions, send them over to the new kingdom in the distance, alright?" Aaron told the King before he walked away. "Come on, guys, let's go," Aaron told Crystet, Free, Seph and None before snapping his fingers. They all disappeared into thin air, and the King was just left in shock. That wasn't even magic that was being used. What sort of madness was that?

Aaron and his group appeared outside the city walls, and they all immediately let out a big sigh. "Now I have to figure how to set up a tournament. This isn't going to be fun, is it?" Aaron asked Crystet. "You really should have thought about that before announcing that you would, shouldn't you?" Crystet responded.
