Aaron and his group neared the city, Crystet taking the lead of the race, and Aaron decided to make this just a bit fairer. He teleported Crystet back to around fifty metres behind Seph, None and Free. Crystet continued jogging for a second before realising how far back he was.
"Now, catch up to then with the same restrictions as before. If you can do it before we reach the city, I'll declare you the winner." He told Crystet, and that sped him up by quote a bit. He wasn't allowed to go extremely fast, but he could run fast enough, while controlling his speed, to catch up to them.
Everyone except Crystet was twenty-five metres away from the city at this point, and Crystet was fifty. He was fast, though, and he was rapidly gaining on them, going twice as fast as they were. It was like he was chasing them, and to be fair, he kind of was. He needed to catch up with them while following Aaron's rules. After all, he wanted that Ultimate Skill. It could give him the edge he needed over Aaron to finally call himself more powerful.
They were getting closer to the city, and that's when Aaron noticed a strange force of energy coming from the city. It was human, but he couldn't sense the cause itself. It was like it was pure emotions. He held everyone in place as they looked at him confusedly, talking amongst themselves as they pondered what had happened. Aaron floated above the city walls, looking upon a parade of anger.
"So that's what this was? This aura is pure anger?" Aaron asked himself as he stood on the city walls. He teleported everyone else up here, ensuring they didn't fall off by keeping them in place with his Boundless Telekinesis. "This is what caused me to stop. A large group of humans with a collective emotion. It created a magical aura, and this shows that that's how many people have this emotion at the forefront." Aaron explained, watching as a man was dragged along by the crowd. A crown fell off of his head as he was pulled, the crowd picking it up and cheering.
"The fall of royalty? Why are they so angry with the King that resides in this capital?" Aaron asked himself out loud. He watched as the King tried to pull himself back towards the castle, but there was the force of a mob behind him. He didn't stand a chance. He was dragged out to the gates and abandoned outside of the city walls, the citizens of the capital cheering in happiness and rage. The man of royalty just stood there, a shocked expression on his face. He didn't know what to think of the situation.
"Well, it appears our little prize wager is being put on hold for a minute. I'm curious as to why this whole situation is happening." Aaron told the group out of curiosity, and to be fair, they were interested as well. "I'm going to go down and take a look. You guys stay up here until I call for you, so just stand on the city wall for a bit." Aaron informed them, releasing their Boundless Telekinesis. They all, luckily, landed on the wall without any problems, and Aaron jumped down, his skeletal wings invisible to the eye, natural or otherwise.
He used Boundless Telekinesis to slow his fall, descending like the all-powerful being that people believed him to be. Of course, he wasn't flashy about it, but he was just doing it to ensure that he didn't injure himself on the way down. "So, you were thrown out of your kingdom, huh? Rough." Aaron said to him, having landed on the ground behind him already. The old King leapt back in fear. "Who are you?! What do you want with me?!" He yelled as Aaron held his hands at ear level, showing peace. "Calm down. I've not come here for violence, good sir. I just wish to talk with you. I come with a peace offering, but you must be willing to accept the consequences of taking it, ok?" Aaron warned him, and this put the King on guard, as hearing this would scare someone.
"What do you mean by 'peace offering'? I can't sense an ounce of mana from you, so what would you have that I didn't?" The King asked as Aaron just chuckled. Boundless Limiter was being used to limit his power to zero. "Well, here's the thing, King," Aaron stated, as his skeletal wings dramatically unfurled from invisibility. "You see, I'm not a human. I'm just a monster, as you call them." Aaron explained with a smile on his face that could almost be called sinister.
The King stumbled backwards, looking at Aaron with eyes of fear. "M...monster...how...? Only monsters with high magical abilities can communicate! And even then, all they want to do is kill all the humans that they can see!" The King yelled, staring into the dark void which was Aaron's eyes. "Have you ever thought about the fact that someone with too much mana to be sensed could exist? If not, there's someone with the ability to suppress their insane amount of mana right in front of you." Aaron explained, his eyes glowing yellow for just a split second, releasing as little of his mana as he could. Just a fraction of the limitless mana he had available to him, and because of that, he had to actually give a number to the amount of mana he wanted to use. A mana level of ten thousand should be enough.
Aaron watched as the King was sent flying back into the castle wall due to the sheer pressure of the mana aura that Aaron was creating. Aaron had always limited the amount of mana he would use even when he pretended not to, so his mana had just been condensing and condensing. It was ten thousand in his mana level for him. For humans, though, it was around ten million, also known as fifty times more than the hero. Aaron was a destructive force of nature, and he knew it. He looked at the King in shock before decreasing his power level to ten. This was ten thousand for humans. Still respectively powerful. He walked over to the winded King, and he smiled.
"Sorry about that. Didn't think ten thousand would be too much for you."
