Aaron woke up, a cold sweat on his forehead. He looked around, realising that he was lying down in a grassy field. He sat up, seeing that Crystet was fully healed, even after the damage he had sustained. Crystet looked over at Aaron, and a smile broke onto his face. "So, you're finally awake, Aaron. Glad to see it." Crystet commented, standing up. He walked over to Aaron and extended his hand out to him. "Come on, time to get up."
"I appreciate the gesture, Crystet," Aaron responded, taking Crystet's hand and using it to lift himself up, making sure he didn't pull Crystet down during the process. "So, how long have I been out for?" Aaron asked, curious. "Only for about three hours," Crystet replied. "Right now, we are at the place where we can build the house. It was actually reasonably close to the city, and you were easy to carry since you were unconscious." Crystet explained, pointing to a small village in the distance. "That's the village of humans that he talked about. Those could be the first humans we convince if you wanted to get started on it easily."
"Huh. So, this is where our adventure on this planet properly starts? Sure, I'm happy with this. Let's wait for the others to wake up, and then I can start making the house." Aaron stated, looking up towards the sky. It was morning, yet the others had fallen asleep before.
"How are you healed, Crystet? I thought your bones were broken." Aaron asked, trying to pass the time, sitting down while questioning him. "Oh, I just used Wishgranter to fix myself once I realised what was going on," Crystet responded, looking up into the sky as he sat down again. "Once the clock strikes twelve at night again, it'll be recharged. I think it was well spent."
"Oh, that's good to hear, Crystet. At least you feel like it was worth it." Aaron responded as the next few seconds were filled with awkward silence. Aaron looked over towards Crystet, who looked bored. "Want to go do something fun?" Aaron asked. "Oh, fuck yes. I thought this boredom would kill me." Crystet sighed, standing up once again as he looked towards Aaron again. "We sat up and down in less than a minute. I swear that those were. Some of the most boring moments of my life. Felt like an eternity in those few seconds." Crystet complained, stretching his arms and wings. "So, what do you want to do? After all, it's not like we can do much without them awake, as it wouldn't be fair." Crystet questioned him, nodding his head towards None, Seph, and Clair.
"Well, we could have a little sparring match and wake them up in the process, but I bet that you're a bit tired of fighting." Aaron pondered, piquing Crystet's curiosity. "Yeah, but I have an idea," Crystet responded, flapping his wings a few times. "How about a friendly little race? To the village and back. He can use any methods besides teleportation because that'd just remove any challenge from it." Crystet proposed, getting into a starting position, his wings flying out behind him, ready to speed towards the small wooden-fenced village.
"Sure, I'm game, but I won't go easy on you. If I underestimate you, you're going to kick my ass, and I'm going to win. It'll be fun." Aaron replied, jumping up and down on the spot, stretching his neck as he did it. "So, are you ready to lose?" Aaron asked, prepared to win. "Oh, I won't lose. I've got a special little trick up my sleeve. Something I know you can't do." Crystet smirked, hinting at a new ability or secret. Aaron smiled, his eyes flaring up. "The countdown starts now."
"Three!"
"Two!"
"One!"
"Go!"
The following gust of wind was said to shake the world that day. After all, this was Aaron and Crystet getting properly into this little competition with each other. They rushed off, going at an uncalculated speed, breaking the sound barrier, but suddenly, everything stopped, and all Aaron could do was look straight ahead. It was like everything had stopped. Crystet stood in front of Aaron, a smile on his face. "This is the only thing that stopped me from dying during my fight with the white-haired swordsman. It was given to me by an unknown person, and it's called 'Supreme Time-Stop Lv.1', and it allows me to stop time for twenty seconds, but it has a cooldown of a minute. You can't speak during this time, and you can't move. Pretty cool, huh?" Crystet asked, floating in front of Aaron, although the theoretical scent of lies drifted through the air, and Aaron knew that something was up, and he needed to find out the truth.
That's when Aaron disappeared, nowhere to be seen. Crystet looked around, unable to see him, and that's when Aaron appeared behind him, seemingly moving within the area of stopped time. Crystet looked behind himself in fear, his eyes shining gold. Aaron put his finger on his forehead and decided to go through his memories to see how the hell he got this. Crystet's memories from the past twelve hours played in his head as if they were video clips as time froze for him.
Aaron watched as his vision was projected into Crystet's, reliving the fight between him and the swordsman. He didn't have the ability while he fought him, and he had been beaten senseless. Only made sense, as it was a Boundless person, after all. After Aaron had been defeated, Crystet had awoken, and a message appeared in his vision.
{Message from [Authrecsys]}
{I'm Auth. If you see a message like this, just call me Auth. I see you're having a hard time catching up with your little friend. His existence intrigues me, and you might be the key to helping me understand what goes, or what he actually thinks. So, I'm altering your Wishmaker, which, might I add, is absolutely broken. Now, you have the free will to wish for ANYTHING, but only once. Use this choice wisely. Also, all you need to do is think of it and then confirm it.}
[Input Wish...]
Without a second thought, Crystet thought of the Wish he wanted and put it into the Input Wish section with a smile on his face.
[I wish to be just as strong as Aaron.]
[Confirm?]
[Yes] [No]
[Yes]
{Splendid Choice.}
{Closing Message...}
[Wish has been granted!]
[Supreme Power Enhancement (All) Lv.7]
[Supreme Time-Stop Lv.1]
[Title: Supreme Chosen Subject]
"So, that's what you did, huh?" Aaron asked, smiling. "I'm surprised, but in a good way," Aaron commented, patting Crystet on the shoulder. "I think you're ready for a proper fight against me, but we won't fight yet unless you want to." Aaron said as time resumed around them.
Then the sonic boom hit their ears, and Aaron had to cover his ears to stop them fully exploding.
