Chapter 180 - Ground To Base

"Resolve, huh?" None pondered, wondering what Aaron specifically meant by that. After all, there were different types of resolve, at least in his mind. You could have the will to do one thing but none to do another at the same time. It was something objective, to be seen in the eyes of the beholder. It was almost like beauty. Everyone had a right to decide what was beautiful to them and what wasn't. "We won't get anywhere without it. Speaking of getting somewhere, should we not start trying to find a place to build our little base?" Aaron asked, making everyone snap out of whatever trance they were in. Everyone had been too occupied with talking to realise that they had places to be. They looked up into the dark night sky, the moon almost above their heads. "It's a beautiful night, but we should really get started on finding a place to stay. We just need a little house out of the way, as nobody would suspect a casual outskirt home to be a base to a load of magical objects." Aaron explained, drawing curiosity from Free. "How do you suppose we'd make a base out of a small house, Aaron? We'd have limited space there." Free pointed out, and Aaron almost immediately responded.

"We'd build the base below the house. A secret entrance would lead to a large underground bunker of sorts. This would be our base, and if we felt like it, we could live in the house up above. We could always make expansions to the house if needed." Aaron pointed out before explaining what they could do with the base. "We could expand the underground base as much as we want. Nobody builds underground here, I'm betting. We could store whatever we wanted in them as well. Weapons, items, even godly armour. Nobody would suspect us either. After all, even if they did find us out, we have the Hero on our side, and even if they wanted to kill us, they couldn't. I don't think there is anyone else on humanity's side to stop us, as the Hero was the most powerful human in their eyes. Now with him being, at least currently, on the side of the monsters, they have nobody to turn to. We are like the unstoppable force that has the power to take over everything, but I don't want to rule by fear again. I want to see what happens when I try to establish peaceful connections. Might be fun to try out, you know?" Aaron explained, his body slowly floating into the air.

"I mean, I know of a place where we could go. It's near enough to a human settlement, but it doesn't matter. They won't notice. I once set off an explosion while training my abilities, and they thought it was just a little brighter that day. I can guarantee that they won't even realise a house being built, much less an underground base for monsters." Seph explained as Aaron smiled in response. "Well, now we know where we'll build our base. Would you mind showing us where this place is?" Aaron asked him, his skeletal wings slowly getting larger and larger. He was creating a platform for everyone. Soon enough, his wings were at a wingspan of twenty feet, which meant that they were longer than None's bat wings.

"Hop on. I'm carrying you all on these because I have no idea where Seph wants to go, so I can't teleport, and I'm not going to spend hours walking around. We'll just fly there, and Seph can give me approximate directions until we get there. After all, it's not like we're on a time frame. I just want to see what happens when we do stuff like this." Aaron explained, kneeling down on the ground using one knee to prop himself up. "Crystet, you get on the centre, as you are probably the heaviest. Not because you are fat, but because of your skin. Remember, it completely deflected Seph's ultimate electricity attack. That means it must be as dense as anything. None, Seph, you get on the right part of my wings so you can tell me your directions, and Free, go beside Crystet, and Crystet will make sure you don't fall. We won't be going all that fast, but it's just in case." Aaron told them as the group got into their positions. He needed to make sure everything was stable, as he could fly using Boundless Telekinesis, but that didn't mean he would be able to focus on himself and someone else if they fell.

Once everyone was on, Aaron slowly began to float into the air, making sure everybody was alright as he lifted himself into the air. He wanted to make sure that he did this right. He had never flown with a person on his back before. It couldn't be much different than flying by himself, right? Aaron felt a weight on his back, but he knew that was Crystet. After all, it wasn't like he could change the mass of people around him. If he could, he'd make himself weigh almost nothing so he could just float around. Just naturally, without using Telekinesis. He liked the idea, but it'd probably be more trouble than fun, as he'd just be stuck floating until he manually turned his weight to normal.

Aaron watched as his feet rose from the ground, and all he wanted to do was go extremely fast, but if he did that, everyone else would fall off, so he didn't. "Alright. Seph, which way should we go? After all, you're the only one out of us who knows where this place is." Aaron asked him, and Steven pointed to the right of Aaron's head. "The moon rises from the east and sets to the west, and since the moon isn't directly above us yet, I know where east is. So, to the east of the earth, to near a village, we must go!"

"You know, you're starting to become more like me, and I'm not sure if that's a good thing considering how quick it is."
